It is composed primarily with a folk-Celtic influence, beginning as a lively 3/4 dance and evolving into an energetic gigue. Es una pieza instrumental compuesta por Alan Menken para la banda sonora de la película de Disney de 2010, Enredados (Tangled). Está compuesta principalmente con una influencia folk-celta que comienza como un baile vívido en 3/4 y evoluciona hacia una giga enérgica. I love the movie Tangled, and its soundtrack is simply amazing, especially since most of the pieces are written with Celtic influences (one of my favorite cultures), and the use of the recorder as the main instrument excites me even more 🥹. This demonstrates the instrument's versatility and its importance within the history and culture of some civilizations. Learning the song was quite a challenge; however, I wanted to add many more details to make the instrument stand out. Amo la película de Enredados y su banda sonora, ni se diga, especialmente porque la mayoría de las piezas están escritas bajo influencias celtas (una de mis culturas favoritas) y el uso de la flauta dulce como instrumento principal me emociona aún más 🥹. Esto demuestra la versatilidad del instrumento y su importancia dentro de la historia y cultura de algunas civilizaciones. Aprenderme la canción fue todo un reto; sin embargo, quise agregarle muchos más detalles para destacar con el instrumento. I must also admit that this is the first time I've done such a complete cover with these three flutes. I hope to do more covers soon, incorporating all the recorder voices as much as possible. I feel that this combination, while not overly complex, is quite beautiful sonically, and the sopranino adds that medieval Celtic feel that I most wanted to highlight in the entire piece. I really loved the ending, and I'm sure you'll also feel how much work it took; that part required many takes. I think the least enjoyable part for me is the recording; there are so many takes, and I like everything to be 100% perfect. It usually takes me a whole day to record, edit, and upload the content, but in the end, it's worth it to deliver a quality product. Although I initially wanted to perform only the fast part of the song, because of how iconic it is, I finally decided to play it in its entirety, but in my own style and with some adjustments that really made the idea work perfectly 🤗 Creo que la parte menos agradable para mí es la grabación; son muchas tomas y me gusta que todo quede perfecto al 100%. En esta grata oportunidad, quiero presentarles una marcha solemne de procesión llamada "La Esperanza de María", en conmemoración de la Semana Santa, en un pequeño cover de flauta dulce. Espero que les agrade. Since it's Holy Week, I wanted to record a song I've known since the year before last, one that has deeply moved me. This march is of Andalusian origin, composed by the musician Alejandro Blanco Hernández and premiered in 2012 by the Banda Solemne de Andalucía. It has become very popular in processions related to Our Lady of Sorrows, especially on Good Friday, and lately it has gone viral on TikTok with videos of these important celebrations in Andalusia, such as the processions in Guatemala, Andalusia, and the Vatican. Aprovechando que estamos en Semana Santa, quise grabar una canción que conozco desde el año antepasado y que me ha conmovido profundamente. I didn't want to make many arrangements; I wanted the soprano to be the soloist throughout. I wanted to make it as moving as possible, obviously in my own way. Honestly, I think it's a very beautiful song that reminds me of my roots, since I grew up in a Catholic family, and Holy Week for me is a symbol of respect, prayer, faith, and above all, solemnity. For me, this march is nothing more than a vivid reminder that, even when days turn dark, we must always maintain a glimmer of hope, like the hope the Virgin Mary had when her son was crucified. It also reminds me of a video I saw some time ago that explained the feelings of Catholics worldwide when witnessing processions and the saints in these kinds of events. Many people might say they weep before the statues, but the reality is that they weep and embrace the memory these images evoke: the memory of grandparents who instilled the Catholic faith and are no longer with us, of people who were with us on our journey and, sadly, have passed away. Seeing the processions and our saints is not worshipping images; it is embracing a culture that has accompanied us from the moment we are born until the moment we die, and passing it on from generation to generation. Para mí, esta marcha no es más que el vívido recuerdo de que, a pesar de que los días se tornen oscuros, siempre hay que mantener una mínima esperanza, como la que tuvo la Virgen María en el momento en que su hijo fue crucificado. En esta oportunidad, quiero compartirles un pequeño recorrido de lo que fue el concierto de Navidad y fin de año de la cátedra de flauta dulce, en compañía de una reducción de la orquesta Alma Llanera y de la agrupación profesional del sistema Le Fénix Consort. In the Christmas section, we were able to develop a medley of popular Venezuelan songs with the beginner children, who performed excellently and learned it very quickly. They are all very studious and outstanding children. We decided to perform the concert at the City Arts Museum, also within the framework of its anniversary. That's where I discovered this great gem of an iconic opening, and the song was so catchy that I played it on a separate recorder that has a very nice motivational message and these days watching Tik tok I came across a video with the song in the background and that motivated me to finish arranging it to record it and the result was simply wonderful🎼. Debo admitir que no me he visto Naruto😅 no obstante mi hermano menor si le gustó mucho y antes teníamos la costumbre de que cuando pasaban los capítulos por televisión los veíamos juntos de allí fue que conocí a esta grandísima joya de opening tan icónico, y fue tan pegadiza la canción que la saqué en flauta dulce aparte que tiene un mensaje motivacional muy bonito y en estos días viendo Tik tok me salió un video con la canción de fondo y eso me motivó a terminar de arreglarla para grabarla y el resultado fue simplemente maravilloso🎼. Creo que sacar canciones a oído y perfeccionarla es uno de los métodos más efectivo para entrenar y educar el oído musical, de esta forma se nos va a hacer un poco más fácil el poder identificar sonidos complicados como lo son las tríadas menores disminuidas, las disonancias, entre otras más y de esta manera podemos improvisar un poco más fácil, porque sí, para la improvisación se necesita el estudio intensivo y, exhaustivo de los sonidos específicamente de las escalas menores, mayores, de los tonos y precisamente el oído es herramienta clave para poder perfeccionar este tipo de técnicas.Uno de los mayores aprendizajes que me dejó este proyecto fue lograr cambiar de tonalidades rápido, por motivos de comodidad- sonoridad tuve que bajar la canción al tono de La menor, pensé que sí iba a escuchar mal pero el resultado fue todo lo contrario y así pude tener una mejor exploración y experiencia de los arreglos y adornos que quería hacer. Volver a la Banda Show Escuela Artemisa 🥹💛 As many of you already know, I have been in a band for two years, however this year I could not be very active due to university and work issues, therefore I missed many parades, contests and presentations, I was hoping to return at some point and well ... The opportunity came to me and I did not waste it, I was able to rehearse again although my main instrument is the trombone in C major in this new theme 2025-2026 they switched me to the Bass Drum, so I was thinking that I would go out to the presentations with that instrument, however things took an unexpected turn and the director of the Band sent me to Lira 😅 something that took me out of my comfort zone because I have not played the instrument for a long time Cómo muchos ya saben estoy en banda desde hace dos años sin embargo este año no pude estar muy activa por cuestiones de la universidad y el trabajo por lo tanto me perdí de muchos desfiles, concursos y presentaciones, tenía la esperanza de volver en una oportunidad y pues ... La oportunidad me llegó y no la desaproveche, pude volver a ensayar aunque mi instrumento principal es el trombón en Do mayor en esta nueva temática 2025-2026 me pasaron al Bombo, así que tenía pensando que saldría a las presentaciones con ese instrumento, sin embargo las cosas dieron un giro inesperado y el director de la Banda me mandó a Lira 😅 algo que me sacó de mi sona de confort porque tengo mucho tiempo que no toco el instrumento I had to prepare in a full rehearsal and learn all the songs that were going to be used in the parade. Our presentation was in the community of the Virgin of Coromoto. On that day, they held a solemn mass and a procession where we were accompanied by the band from nearby our municipality, Tepuy Roraima. They went in front of the procession and we played at the back. Our repertoire consisted of old pieces from previous seasons and new songs that we are working on like "Lambada", for this season we couldn't miss the gems like the "80's merengue mix" and salsa caleña, the presentation lasted 5 hours we started at 6:30 and finished at 10 at night, then they gave us a small snack in the church followed by the group photo between the bands and some of the people who make life in that community, we were received very well we had very nice and friendly attention, obviously the bochinche could not be missed so finishing the presentation and after having eaten a good snack our bands joined in a traditional fish wheel and we started to play, dance, we did competitions and instrument challenges like conga challenge, timbales, conga vs tambora and so on, we spent a very pleasant time with our sister band tepuy, we even went on the same bus (incredibly if we fit), we arrived at the base of the Band around 11:30 at night and we ended up going home at 12 tired but happy, this time I was able to parade with my cousin, only now I was in a lyre and she was in a grenadier, however they were very beautiful moments of happiness since we had not gone out for a long time, so this parade was unforgettable and very pleasant. Me tuve que preparar en una ensayo completo y aprenderme todas las canciones que iban para el desfile, nuestra presentación fue en la comunidad de la Virgen de Coromoto, por su día realizaron una misa solemne y una procesión en donde nos acompañó la banda cercana a nuestro municipio Tepuy Roraima, ellos iban adelante y nosotros atrás de la procesión tocando. Nuestro repertorio estuvo compuesto por piezas viejas de anteriores temporadas y de canciones nuevas que estamos trabajando como "Lambada", para esta temporada no pudieron faltar las joyitas como el "mix de merengue de los 80"y salsa caleña, la presentación tuvo una duración de 5 horas empezamos a las 6:30 y terminamos a las 10 de la noche, después nos dieron un pequeño refrigerio en la iglesia seguido de la foto grupal entre las bandas y parte de las personas que hacen vida en esa comunidad, nos recibieron muy bien tuvimos una atención muy bonita y amable, obviamente no podía faltar el bochinche así que terminando la presentación y después de haber comido un buen refrigerio nuestras bandas se unieron en una rueda de pescado tradicional y nos pusimos a tocar, bailar, hicimos competencias y retos de instrumentos como reto de congas, timbales, congas vs tambora y así sucesivamente, pasamos un rato muy ameno con nuestra banda hermana tepuy ,hasta nos fuimos en el mismo autobús (increíblemente si cupimos), llegamos a la base de la Banda a eso de las 11:30 de la noche y terminamos yendo a la casa a las 12 cansadas pero felices, en esta oportunidad puede desfilar con mi prima hermana solo que ahora yo en lira y ella en granadero, sin embargo fueron momentos de felicidad muy bonitos ya que teníamos mucho tiempo sin salir las dos así que este desfile fue inolvidable y muy ameno. To put it into context, this concerto was written by an Italian composer who played the oboe as well as the recorder and worked at the court of the Prince of Wales composing music for when the prince had important meetings with his court or just wanted to have fun and enjoy himself. This was a great help for Giovanni since he could concentrate on his works and his musical studies. A curious fact about this concerto and this composer, who is my favorite composer, has to do with the transition from Baroque to Classicism. It consists of 3 movements. I played the first movement called Allegro. Para ponerlos un poco en contexto este concierto fue escrito por un compositor italiano que tocaba Oboe aparte de flauta dulce y trabajaba en la corte del príncipe de Gales componiendo música para cuando el príncipe tenía junto con su corte reuniones importantes o quería nada más divertirse y disfrutar esto fue una gran ayuda para Giovanni ya que podía concentrarse en sus obras y en su estudio musical, dato curioso de este concierto y de este compositor que es mí compositor favorito, tiene que ver con la transición del Barroco al Clacisismo, consta de 3 movimientos, yo interpreté el primer movimiento denominado Allegro. For me, that composer is one of my favorites, because if you check out my blog you will always find covers of many pieces from different musical genres adapted to the recorder, not only for the soprano but also for the recorder family in general. I am a huge fan of Giovanni's work and legacy. In fact, I don't play his oboe pieces because unfortunately I don't have the instrument, and this concerto means a lot to me. I started studying him when I was 15 because my tutor gave me a pendrive of pure classical and baroque music where she had many works that contained the tracks and complete scores for accompaniment, and obviously she had given me the solo instrument as long-term study material. Empecé a estudiarlo a los 15 años y fue porque mi tutora me pasó un pendrive de pura música clásica y barroca donde ella tenía muchas obras qué contenían las pistas y partituras completas para el acompañamiento y obviamente el instrumento solista me lo había pasado como material de estudio largo, era repertorio que duraría mucho tiempo estudiando junto con las técnicas de ejecución para el instrumento, sin embargo me llamó la atención todas las obras de Giovanni, así que empecé a buscar información sobre él y me dice cuenta que no existe mucho información de este concierto, del porque lo compuso, ni que trato de expresar con el. Lo presente gracias a mi tutora, dijo que ya estaba listo y perfeccionado, fueron muchos años de práctica, ensayos, sacrificio, el primer movimiento significa mucho para mí, pase etapas de mi vida buenas, malas, crecí como persona, encontré mi camino, superé muchas adversidades y justamente este movimiento representa todo el proceso que viví desde los 15 hasta la actualidad y formó parte de ese proceso ya que odiaba estudiar el segundo movimiento era muy lento, me producía ansiedad tocarloy no me gustaba no lo quería presentar pero finalmente me ayudó a controlar mi ansiedad y lo estoy terminando de perfeccionar, próximamente lo presentaré. A diferencia del año pasado que fue de música venezolana, esta edición fue de música barroca y música antigua, donde la flauta dulce tenía mucha popularidad con compositores que destacaban bastante para el instrumento entonces para este cierre de año quisimos enfocarnos en ese estudio y en esas técnicas, conseguimos mucho repertorio de provecho y bastante fácil para que a los muchachos se les hiciera divertido y ameno poder estudiar la flauta dulce y montar un buen concierto de cierre, también tuvimos la participación de algunos alumnos que por sus estudios y su esfuerzo quisieron tocar piezas solistas como la Habanera de la ópera del Carmen, niñas chiquitas de 5 años que están iniciando en el estudio y eligieron lecciones de algunos métodos de flauta dulce para presentarlos ella solitas, entre otros más. It was a long few months of preparation and effort but it paid off, as the children learned a lot achieving the main objective which was individual and group learning, polishing their skills with the instrument as well as showing the recorder and its professional studies beyond being an introductory instrument, we wanted to show how the different stages there are from little children to the most advanced in the chair, it was a very intimate recital only attended by the students' families but the goal was met🎶❤️. Fueron meses largos de mucha preparación y esfuerzo pero dió sus frutos ,ya que los niños aprendieron bastante logrando el objetivo principal que era el aprendizaje individual y grupal puliendo sus habilidades con el instrumento además de mostrar a la flauta dulce y sus estudios profesionales más allá de ser un instrumento de iniciación, quisimos mostrar como las diferentes etapas que hay desde los niños chiquitos hasta lo más avanzados en la cátedra, fue un recital muy íntimo nada más asistieron los familiares de los estudiantes pero se cumplió la meta🎶❤️. I think the most difficult thing about practicing this piece was the time changes, it was something that cost us a lot to put together but it was done quite well even though we didn't have the percussion. Para mí fue bastante ameno, hicimos un pequeño compartir para celebrar el esfuerzo de los muchachos junto con sus padres y representantes, ya para el próximo año haremos otro concierto como este,obviamente lo voy a grabarun poquito mejor😞 debo admitir que no me pude concentrar en grabar bien ya que estaba concentrada en los niños y en que todo saliera musicalmente bien pero para la próxima sí prometo grabar lo mejor jejeje, de verdad que fue una experiencia muy amena ame tocar con el ensamble y con nuestro nuevo integrante de verdad es un niño muy muy pero muy amigable alegre, seguiremos construyendo y edificando, pero fue una experiencia excelente para mí, lo que más me gustó fue La Royne, es una colección de temas bastante viejos le queríamos agregar percusión pero por el corto tiempo no se dió, sin embargo vamos a ver si le hacemos unos arreglos y le adjuntamos una percusión buena, estos temas son increíbles, por lo menos el primer movimiento es alegre, movido, el segundo te hace estar como en un videojuego de Zelda ,como en un Dark fantasy ,el tercero es moderado un poquito más lento, el cuarto es un alegro El quinto es un moderato más lento que el tercero y así sucesivamente, son siete movimientos y cada uno tiene su particularidad.Creo que lo más difícil de practicar esta pieza fue los cambios de tiempo, fue algo que nos costó mucho ensamblar pero se hizo bastante bien a pesar que no contábamos con la percusión. Our repertoire is based on Boleros, Venezuelan music and cañonera music, this was the group's first participation in an evening event, it was a very arduous month full of rehearsals and changes in the repertoire, my colleagues as well as I were somewhat nervous, but the important thing was that everything went excellent and people really liked the show. Nuestro repertorio se basa en Boleros, música venezolana y música cañonera, esta fue la primera participación de la agrupación en un evento de noche, fue un mes muy arduo lleno de ensayos y cambios en el repertorio, mis compañeros al igual que yo estábamos algo nerviosos, pero lo importante fue que todo salió excelente y a la gente le gustó mucho el show Mostly throughout the show I played the recorder and occasionally the maracas (although initially I wasn't going to play them because of the many changes that were made, I ended up playing them 😅😅). In the world of music it is quite unusual to see this type of groups with a recorder, mostly the transverse flute, the clarinet, the trumpet or some brass instrument are used but not the recorder and this is because since it doesn't reach many octaves and doesn't have more ranges or timbres, its use is limited to chamber performances or places with excellent acoustics. Mayormente en todo el show toque flauta dulce y una que otras veces las maracas ( aunque inicialmente no las iba a tocar de tanto cambios que se hicieron las termine tocando 😅😅). En el mundo de la música es bastante inusual ver este tipo de agrupaciones con flauta dulce, mayormente se utiliza la flauta Traversa , el clarinete, la trompeta o algún instrumento de viento metal pero no la flauta dulce y esto se debe a que como no llega a muchas octavas y no posee más rangos ni timbres su uso se limita a presentaciones de cámara o sitios con excelente acústica. Es mi primera vez tocando en eventos así y la mejor satisfacción fue que al público les encantó nuestro show, hubieron canciones como " Piel cabela" dónde el público aplaudía al compás de la música o en " Por alguien como tú" literalmente al hacer el intro de la canción mas de uno empezó a gritar de emoción mientras coreaban la letra y así sucesivamente en todas las demás. En la canción de final(también era un joropo, bueno una Periquera) la gente empezó a aplaudir acompañando el ritmo, tuvimos una aceptación bastante positiva ☺️☺️.
