Curated alongside the one and only Vespe NYC, Summer Heat was built on one idea: the records that built house music and the records tearing up floors right now belong in the same room, on the same night, back to back. 🪩So this hour runs current and classic at once — peak-time house sitting shoulder to shoulder with records people have been screaming along to for thirty years, rebuilt to hold their own on a 2026 floor. It moves fast, it never sits still, and there's a stretch in the middle where the room went somewhere I hadn't planned for. ⚡It closes out on the ballroom and diva side of the family, and that was deliberate. Things haven’t fallen apart, but they’ve shifted — enough to rattle me, to shake up my routines, and to hit me deep in places I thought were solid. Then on Saturday, July 19th, just hours before a gig, I had what may have been an MS attack. I blacked out, fell down a flight of stairs, and was unconscious for hours. I nearly missed the show — something I never let happen. And it rocked me.This mix was born from that moment. It’s grief and rage and hope and defiance, translated into sound. You’ll hear it in the tracklist — from “As The Rush Comes” to “Sky Falls Down” — it’s all there.
