    Carol Whitmore, First Sergeant, United States Army (Ret.)

    Sergeant Whitmore enlisted in the Army in 1977 and retired in 2013.  She began as a member of what was known as the "Women's Army Corps," where she served as a Teletype Technician.     Ross Goodman, Former Marine Corps Captain and Judge Advocate

    Patrick J. McLain, Major, United States Marine Corps, Retired

    Del Connell, former United States Navy Petty Officer Second Class

    Former United States Air Force Master Sergeant Bill Parsons

    In today's program we meet former United States Air Force Master Sergeant Bill Parsons. A kid of the 1950s and 1960s, Bill grew up in small town, rural Kentucky. In his senior year of high school he enlisted in the Air Force under the Delayed Enlistment Program. Once in the Air Force he became a Transportation Vehicle Operator then cross-trained into what is now called the Occupational Safety Career Field.     Ian Gindes, Executive Producer and Patrick Zimmerli, Composer, Letters from the Front

    World War II Veteran, Retired US Army Corporal, Harry Demenza
