VGPodcast

Welcome to the Very Good Podcast, where we make very good podcasts (hopefully). We're two brothers who love movies. We also like to share our opinions. Come, stay a while and listen!

  1. 8

Mulan (2020), aka the worse one

Mulan 2020, Disney's latest attempt to take a nice steaming dump on all their amazing work throughout the last several decades, one live-action remake at a time. To be honest, I haven't hated most of the live-action remakes, even though the majority are just mediocre.. but Mulan takes it to the next level and manages to be both a bad movie even on it's, and also a terrible movie when compared to the original. Disney will likely look at this failure and blame covid, instead of reflecting on what actually made it bad: cringey dialogue, uninspiring choreography, and weak story. It looked pretty though.

  2. 7

    Guilty Pleasures

We all have them. Those movies that are just universally disliked, or at the very least the majority dislike them, but we can't help ourselves.. something about these movies keeps us coming back to them, no matter how many eyes roll at us. What are you Guilty Pleasure movies?

  3. 6

    The Old Guard

Netflix movie, based on a comic apparently. Pretty dece, but not great not terrible. Spoiler free (mostly).

  4. 5

    Fantassy Island

Fantasy Island: I knew it would be bad, but not this bad. Since obviously Blumhouse listens to our podcast: please, learn how to write a coherent horror story. You have decent actors in this in Micheal Pena and Maggie Q (how they agreed to this picture I don't know), but a complete nonsense story and script. Def avoid this one; I was bored at work and still regret it.

  5. 4

    The Hunt

Hello friends. You dying yet from self-isolation? Fear not, my annoying voice is back. Hope you enjoy this quick review of "The Hunt" starring nobody you know + one you probably do but she isn't advertised in this movie.

  6. 3

    Onward!

Trying a much shorter episode for Disney Pixar's "Onward" starring Tom Holland and Chris Pratt. This is also me, alone, no brother... sad. Enjoy the 1st second of silence before I ruin the episode with my stupid voice.  Enjoy!

  7. 2

    Top 10 (ish) movies 2010s

Sup everybody, tune in as we discuss (at length) the best, most influential movies (in our perhaps not-always-humble opinions) of the last decade. We also touch on some "over-rated" movies as well. Enjoy!

  8. 1

VGPodcast - The Rise of Skywalker

Welcome to our first Very Good Podcast where we discuss the latest episodic Star Wars film for what some will probably consider "too many minutes". Enjoy.  This is spoiler free, for the first 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Spoilers start after that. Don't @ us if you listen passed and get spoiled.
