In Acts 7, Stephen reminds us the importance of knowing the Story of God and how it can guide us now!

What happened in Acts 6 has forever changed the Church - the role of deacon is created. The Bible teaches us the important role deacons are to have caring for the community. Not long after this persecution against the church breaks out and in the midst of the suffering God is working.

People often don't change with permission they change with pressure. How we respond to situations often reveals what we believe!

Will we let the fear of others silence us? Find ways to speak of Jesus and let the Holy Spirit do his work!

When we bump into people in need we might not always have food, money or clothes to give. But we will always have Jesus to give people! When the Spirit invites you to take a bold step, will you?

Just like gas powers a vehicle, the Holy Spirit empowers the Christian. Is he empowering your life or are you motivated by something else?

If we didn't have the book of Acts - the rest of the New Testament would be very confusing! Who are these people? How do they have the "power" to do what they are doing? Acts connects the ministry of Jesus through the Holy Spirit to the Church, this is a game changer for us. Let's open up and explore!

We are reading about the resurrection! What is beautiful about this is that this represents everyday for the Christian.

"Hosanna!" ... "Crucify him!" ... Which one is it?! While the heart of humanity is ever changing, inconsistent and at times unreliable, the heart of God is faithful, gracious and on fully display in Luke 23.

From creation, God knew what creating would require of him and at this point in Luke 22 Jesus is about to fulfill the plan he created thousands of years ago.

Giving out of one's abundance is fine and appreciated but giving when it is costly changes the heart!

While words like "power" and "authority" are exciting to talk about it is also humbling when you realize what following Jesus costs the believer, which is everything. In the midst of this Jesus feeds 5,000+ people with the little they have to offer. But isn't that beautiful? God takes the little we have to offer and when we entrust it to him he does more than we could have ever imagined!

Let's discuss the importance of parables, the "soil" of our hearts and the demons that were sent into pigs in Luke 8!

Chapter 6 is Luke's version of the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus addresses many of the Old Testament laws but takes it a step further and gets to our heart. He ends the chapter with a powerful question, "Why do you say to me Lord Lord but not do what I say?" A powerful and convicting question we need to answer as well. Let's dive in!

Confession of sin and grasping our inability to save becomes our resume for service to the Lord. Humility is the elevator to growth.

Like Jesus, our life should be filled with more than "gracious words" but with the very power of God!

There's a saying that goes, "identity determines destiny". We see Luke making that point here with the genealogy of Jesus and as John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. It's important to note the Holy Spirit and his role in this stage of God's saving work.

Today we're talking about Jesus humanity - something that often goes overlooked and not discussed. Jesus humanity + his relationship with the Holy Spirit has huge implications for us today as we too are led by the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Klarc and Bobbie unpack Matthew 19 and address the reality of divorce in our world today and how when Jesus calls us to follow him he doesn't want just some of our effort and heart, he wants all of it! While the "Rich Young Ruler" was sad to give up his riches what might be holding us back from giving God our everything? Remember, he gave his everything for us!

Do you know why God calls us to go great lengths to kill sin? Because he loves you and went great lengths to save you!
