On this edition of Inside Ben Davis Football, Coach Brett Cooper discusses the team's win over Cathedral on Friday night and helps host Parker Moore and Jon Easter break down this Friday's game at Avon.

Jacksen White (Alum broadcaster coming back to help us out) had the call as Gabe Kennett completed the 8-yard TD pass to Cam Crawford to put the Giants up 33-27 with under two minutes to play! The Giants held on to win by forcing a fumble on Cathedral's ensuing possession.

The season opener at Ben Davis didn't disappoint as the Giants and the Cathedral Irish didn't decide this thing until the final two minutes! Jacksen White and Parker Moore have the call from Giant Stadium!

Lara Blomberg and Paula Hoage, lead teachers for the HOSTS Program join the program to discuss the initiative that targets 3rd and 4th graders who "need a little extra help" in reading. Volunteers spend one hour each week helping two students through planned lessons, activites and educational games designed to help them become better readers. Coach Brett Cooper makes his debut with new host Parker Moore and WBDG's Jon Easter on the 35th season premiere of Inside Ben Davis Football. Coach Cooper talks about preparations for the 2026 season and his transition from Bloomington North to Ben Davis. Coach also talks about the week one matchup with the Cathedral Irish.

On this week's show, Ben Davis High School Principal Sandra Squire sits down to talk about the start of the 26/27 school year at BD. She talks about being the Principal of a large, comprehensive high school. She addresses the reformation of the MIC Conference with Carmel and Center Grove rejoining this year. Finally, she reacts to how students have been handling the new cellphone law.

On this episode of Voices of the Westside, host Jon Easter welcomes Coach Don Carlisle from the Ben Davis Boys Basketball Team. They discuss Underdog Indy and the upcoming Underdog Day on August 15 from 12-3 pm at Chapel Rock Christian Church. MSD of Wayne Township Superintendent Dr. Shenia Suggs was our first gues for the 2026/2027 school year on Voices of the Westside. She talks about a number of different topics including the new cell phone law, the Profile of a Wayne Learner initiative and what it's been like during her first half year on the job as the Superintendent of the MSD of Wayne Township.

Dennis Goins, the Director of Ben Davis Television and the Performing Arts Department Chair and FCA Sponsor, joins us to talk about his upcoming retirement and his 24 years in education. Emerson Allen returns to co-host the show with Jon Easter.
