Rochester City Council member Michael Patterson stopped by the WDKX “Water Cooler” to discuss an ongoing issue involving two city-owned buildings that were previously used by the Rochester City School District. The properties have been vacant for about two years, continuing to generate costs for taxpayers while sitting unused.Patterson explained that the city has an opportunity to sell the buildings to 2 different charter school, and one of the proposed sales was approved by a vote. However, the sale involving School No. 29 was not approved.During the discussion, Patterson was joined by Roc Side high school student Marianna, who shared her perspective on the issue.
