We Abide In Him
by with Sueshai & Jenny
This is a Catholic faith-based podcast where we dive into the word, explore all things Jesus, and discuss the traditions of the Church. Join us on this beautiful journey to know Him more deeply and to make Him known. As Jesus says in John 15, He is the True Vine, and we are the branches. Apart from Him, we can do nothing, but when we abide in Him, our lives bear fruit that glorifies the Father."Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."No matter your race, age, gender, or beliefs-ALL are welcome to abide in Him with us.

Bringing Back Reverence
To all Christians — somewhere along the way, we’ve gotten a little too comfortable. Not out of bad intention… but over time, we’ve forgotten the weight of where we are and Who we’re before. The way we dress for church reflects the posture of our hearts not out of pressure, but out of love. It’s time to revive the reverence we were always meant to carry. We’re not going somewhere ordinary… we’re coming before God. And while He is our Friend, He is first our God. This isn’t just for Catholics. It’s for Protestants, Orthodox for every Christian. Reverence isn’t a tradition, it’s a response to who He is. The Eucharist is not just a symbol it is the Body of Christ. And if we truly believed that, it would change how we enter, how we sit, how we speak. Silence matters. A quiet church before Mass. Stillness after. Remembering His house isn’t our social space. Reverence isn’t outdated, it’s missing. And if it feels like it’s been lost… don’t wait for others. Let it begin with you!

Purity
In this episode, we have a real and raw conversation about purity. We’re not speaking from a place of judgment, but from lived experience, prayer, repentance, and a deep love for the souls listening. Because when you truly love someone, you don’t water down the truth you walk with them toward it. We don’t sugarcoat anything in this episode, not because we’re harsh, but because holiness matters. Your heart matters. Your future matters. Purity is not a restriction meant to suffocate you; it’s a protection meant to free you and lead you into deeper intimacy with Christ. The Church doesn’t call us to purity to condemn us, but to heal us, restore us, and teach us how to love rightly. Wherever you are in your journey whether you’ve fallen, are striving, or are just beginning to ask questions this conversation is for you. We speak honestly because we love you. We speak boldly because truth saves. And we speak with hope because Christ makes all things new. We are not perfect ourselves. We are learning to walk in purity too and we’re inviting you to join us as we strive to abide in Him, together, with purity.

One Year Abiding In Him
One year of abiding in Him! Today marks one full year since we released our very first episode of We Abide In Him and our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude. This past year has been filled with holy moments and hard moments, stretching seasons and sacred encounters with God. Through it all, the Lord has been faithful. This podcast has been a place where obedience met vulnerability, where our friendship was refined and became apart of the foundation for everything God wanted to build. In this episode, we reflect on all the ways God has moved in our lives and through this space over the last year, the lessons learned, the growth we didn’t expect, and the grace that carried us. As we look ahead, we do so together trusting God with what's next, confident that God will continue to guide and grow us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being apart of this family. We love you deeply and hold each one of you in our prayers. May we continue to grow, listen, and remain rooted together, abiding in Him every step of the way and may God bless our 2026!

Christ Mass: The Word Made Flesh
In a world that tells us Christmas is about lights, gifts, and passing joy, the Church gently calls us back to the truth: Christmas begins with a gift the world could never give itself, God choosing to enter our humanity. In this episode, we reflect on the Birth of Our Lord, the night the eternal Word took flesh and salvation was born in a manger. We contemplate what Christ came to do by becoming small, how His humility, obedience, and boundless love marked the dawn of our redemption. We journey to Bethlehem to consider the meaning of the Nativity and the quiet power of a God who allowed Himself to be held, adored, and laid in straw for our sake. This mystery has been cherished and handed on by the Church since the earliest centuries, formally celebrated as Christmas in 336 AD, not as a mere custom, but as a profound confession of faith. We also explore how this holy mystery was brought closer to the faithful through St. Francis of Assisi, whose living Nativity invited hearts not simply to remember Christ’s birth, but to enter into it with reverence and love. Come, draw near to the manger and behold the gift given for you. Go and share the good news—Christ is born! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

The Sacrament at The Service of Communion & Mission
The Sacrament at The Service of Communion & Mission: Holy Orders & Matrimony In this final episode of our Seven Sacraments series, we reflect on Holy Orders and Matrimony—the sacraments not ordered toward the self, but toward the sanctification of others. Holy Orders reveals Christ still at work in His Church. Through the laying on of hands and apostolic succession, a man is configured to Christ the High Priest, called to teach, sanctify, and shepherd God’s people. The priesthood is not authority for its own sake, but sacrificial fatherhood—Christ loving His Bride through human hands. Matrimony, too, is a vocation of self-gift. More than a contract or ceremony, marriage is a sacrament that makes visible Christ’s covenant with the Church. In faithful, fruitful, and total love, spouses become living signs of the Cross—where love is proven by endurance, sacrifice, and daily surrender. Together, Holy Orders and Matrimony reveal God’s design for love: a love that gives itself away so others may live. As we conclude this series, we are invited to ask not only what we believe—but how we are called to give our lives in return.

The Sacraments of Healing
The Sacraments of Healing — Anointing of the Sick & Reconciliation At the heart of the Church’s life are the Sacraments of Healing—gifts Christ Himself entrusted to His Church so that no wound, no sin, and no suffering would ever have the final word. In them, Jesus continues His work as the Divine Healer, drawing near to His children with mercy that restores, lifts, and transforms. Anointing of the Sick In the Anointing of the Sick, Christ bends close to us in our frailty. He enters our suffering not as a distant observer but as the One who carried the Cross and knows every pain we bear. By uniting our sufferings to His own, He gives them meaning, turning what feels heavy into a hidden place of grace. Whether He grants physical healing, strengthens the soul, or offers peace in the midst of trial, He reminds us that no suffering is wasted when it is surrendered to Him. It becomes, in His hands, a quiet way of glorifying God. Reconciliation In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Jesus continues to heal—this time the wounds sin leaves upon the soul. He lifts the weight we cannot carry, restores the innocence we thought we lost, and reconciles us to the Father with a mercy that renews us from within. Confession is not simply starting over; it is being made new. Every absolution is Christ whispering His love again, drawing us deeper into His heart. Our return to Him, humble and sincere, becomes an act of praise that glorifies His mercy. These sacraments reveal a God who refuses to leave His children in their brokenness—a Savior who forgives, restores, strengthens, and heals. Through them, Jesus shows us that His mercy is not an idea but a living encounter, a touch of divine love that meets us precisely where we are and brings us back to Him.

In this powerful episode, we dive straight into the reality of spiritual warfare — no sugarcoating, no half-truths. Father Franco, Salesian Vice Provincial from Goa, India, joins us to shed light on what it truly means to live aware of the spiritual world and to stand firm in faith when the enemy tries to attack. He speaks with honesty, boldness, and deep wisdom — revealing how the spiritual realm affects our daily lives, our thoughts, and even the ways we respond to God’s call. In this conversation, we also talk about what true deliverance really means — not just as a dramatic event, but as a daily journey of freedom, healing, and surrender to Christ. If you’ve ever felt caught in a battle between light and darkness, or sensed that there’s more happening beneath the surface of this world, this episode will awaken your spirit and deepen your understanding of the unseen battle we face. Answering The Call: 2025 Salesian Lay Missioners
In this special episode, we sit down with Adam, Director of Salesian Missions, and the 2025 Salesian Lay Missioners — a group of young Catholics preparing to be sent forth to serve communities around the world. Together, we explore the heart of the Salesian mission: bringing Christ’s joy, hope, and love to the young and the poor, especially in places where the Church needs helping hands. Adam shares his own missionary story and how serving others through the Salesian family has transformed his life for the better. You’ll also get a glimpse into the hearts of the 11 new lay missioners — their personal mission statements, where they’re being sent, and the deep faith that moves them to say “yes” to God’s call. As Jesus reminds us, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Luke 10:2). This conversation is an invitation to reflect on your own call — to serve, to love, and to be present where God is leading you. If you feel that tug on your heart while watching — a desire to serve, to grow in faith, or to live the Gospel more deeply — we encourage you to reach out to Salesian Missions. Your “yes” could be the beginning of something extraordinary. Fear of The Lord
In this episode of We Abide in Him, we reflect on what it truly means to fear God. So often, the phrase ‘fear of the Lord’ is misunderstood. Many imagine a God who drives us away in terror — but the Church teaches something far more beautiful. To fear the Lord is to recognize His majesty, His holiness, and His fatherly love that commands both reverence and trust. It is the awe that moves us to kneel, the humility that draws us to obedience, and the love that compels us to run into His arms rather than away. This holy fear doesn’t distance us from Him; it brings us closer, shaping our hearts to live in His will. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10

Fruits of the Spirit
“You will recognize them by their fruit.” (Matthew 7:16) In this episode, we talk about how the fruit of the Spirit is not something we strive to produce in our own strength, but what naturally flows when we stay connected to the True Vine. We share how you can begin to exercise these fruits in your daily life, how to respond with the Spirit instead of the flesh, how to invite Him into the hard moments, and how the world around you can begin to see Jesus through you. When we abide in Christ, truly remain in Him, His Spirit begins to produce fruit in us that we could never grow on our own. Love that forgives. Joy that isn’t shaken by circumstance. Peace that calms storms within. Patience that waits with grace. Kindness that softens hard hearts. Goodness that shines in the dark. Faithfulness that endures. Gentleness that heals. Self-control that breaks cycles. These aren’t just qualities, they’re evidence. Evidence that we belong to Him. Evidence that He is alive in us. You don’t have to try to be perfect, you just have to stay close to the One who is. He’ll do the pruning. He’ll do the growing. Your job is to remain. Because in the end, it’s not the words we say, the things we do, or even how much we serve, but the fruit we bear—that reveals who we really belong to. 🎵 Link below to Veni Creator Spiritus by Harpa Dei. https://youtu.be/HEKuxUOPzk8?si=fz4irog7K0fAk--l

One Body. One Bread. One Savior
While the world is full of different religions, beliefs, and customs, our unity as believers in Christ comes from something far deeper than culture or tradition. It comes from the cross. Jesus didn’t die for one group, one nation, or one personality type, He died for all. His body was broken, His blood poured out, so that we could become one family, one body, in Him (1 Corinthians 10:17). This unity isn’t based on agreement with every religion or philosophy—it’s based on the unshakable truth that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and through Him, we are made new and brought into relationship with God and each other. Unity in Christ means we don’t have to look alike or come from the same background to be family. We can walk in love, humility, and truth even when we stand firm in our faith. We are united not by religion, but by redemption. The Cross doesn’t close doors, it opens them. It breaks down walls, builds bridges, and gathers all who are willing into one Body, one Bread, one Savior.

Holy Spirit
In today’s episode, we reflect on the gentle yet powerful presence of the Holy Spirit—the very breath of God dwelling within us. He isn’t some distant force—He’s a person. A friend. The very breath of God, living right inside us. Our Comforter, Counselor, and Guide. He’s the One who laughs with us in joy, nudges us gently when we need truth, and wraps us in peace when life gets loud. He knows everything, is everywhere, and has all power—yet He chooses to walk with us moment by moment. Whether you’re wrestling with a big decision, needing some clarity, or just craving a fresh dose of joy (and maybe a few giggles), He’s right here. In this episode we’re talking about how to recognize His voice, how to stay close, and how to live in step with Him—not just sometimes, but every day, on purpose. Come be reminded that the Holy Spirit is alive, active, and closer than your next breath.

Honor Your Father & Mother
In this episode of We Abide In Him, we explore one of the foundational commandments: "Honor your father and your mother". We dive into what it really means to honor—not just our earthly parents, but our Heavenly parents. We explore how God uses this commandment to heal, restore, and draw us closer to His heart. Abiding in Him begins with learning to love like Him. Honoring those who raised us, even when it’s hard, teaches us humility, forgiveness, and surrender. And as we choose obedience, we discover that honoring our parents is deeply connected to honoring God Himself. Whether you come from a loving family or a broken one, this episode speaks to the soul and points you back to the One who is Father to the fatherless—and who, even in His final moments on the cross, honored His mother. As Jesus said in John 19:26, ‘Woman, here is your son, Then He said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” We’re reminded that true love honors, protects, and provides. He is the ultimate source of honor, truth, and peace.

His resurrection proves He is fully God. The cross was heavy, but His love was greater. The only sin Jesus ever carried was ours. And the only righteousness we’ll ever have, is His. The Crucifixion
The greatest man in history had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. His name is Jesus. As we enter this Holy Week, we pause at the foot of the cross where mercy met justice and love bore our burden. In this episode, we reflect on the weight of the crucifixion, what it means to truly abide in Christ through His suffering, and why He had to drink that cup. The cross was heavy, but His love was greater. Easy was never the promise. Victory was.

Sueshai's Testimony
Today, I'm sharing my raw testimony—a story I've hesitated to tell, yet one that God has called me to share. Sharing this episode feels incredibly vulnerable, but my heart overflows with the desire to give all glory to Christ. I was broken, constantly numb to the world, seeking a fix, but nothing worked. I recount my journey from brokenness to breakthrough, a testament to how God's love can transform even the deepest struggles. Yes, this is hard, but God's calling is stronger than any fear. I'll share the miraculous moments where His grace redefined my understanding of faith, and how He took what the enemy meant for evil and turned it gloriously for good. As Revelation 12:11 reminds us, we conquer the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Join us as I share the power of God's unwavering love that brought me back to life.
