In the month of October, we are transitioning from summer to fall and then eventually to winter. It's time to make a reappraising of your (our) assets to make sure that you/we are ready for the winter. Our cars have to be winterized; our homes also have to be winterized. We have to pull out the winter coats and boots to make sure that the moths have not eaten up our coats. So, there is a reappraisal of the things in our homes and in our bodies to survive the winter. For our bodies making sure that we have the right vitamins and vaccinations to guard ourselves against the coldness of the winter. For example, a flu or a Pneumonia vaccination or stocking up on plenty of vitamin C.  Therefore, on this morning we have a word that will captivate your mind. This word will illuminate your heart to bring you to a greater understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will take you on a journey to great peace, to greater hope and closer to Jesus as we prepare for the upcoming winter season. Life seem to be getting harder to live! We are challenged on every side with many threats. Some of those threats are the lose of Health Insurance, Snap benefits and higher Taxes. When many of us were growing up, we participate in neighborhood sports, whether it was basketball, football or softball. Whatever the game would have been it was organized by our friends in the neighborhood. One of the most important elements in preparing for those games was that of selecting the teams. Usually, there were two teams that would be organized for the various games as the teams were being selected by team leaders, we would wait with anticipation to be chosen. Unfortunately, there were persons who would be left for the last and would be chosen as a last resort, due to their inability to play the game at an appropriate level of participation. Eventually, the member of each team would be selected and ready to play.   My question for you today, are you ready to be picked for the team? We are definitely living in the last days it seems like the God has turned his back on us and we are just up for grabs. In the news everyday you see some form of natural disaster, or you hear about somebody getting shot, truly we are living in perilous times. The Bible speaks of the times that we are living in today. We're living in a time where people are victims of crimes and victims of natural disasters.
