Steve continues our series A Prayer Shaped Life looking at the second half of the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 verses 9 - 15.He challenges us to consider how surrender is letting go of the thing that we hold on to that we think keeps us safe and fully giving it all to Jesus.Steve speaks about God's daily provision; God's pardon for our debts but asks us to forgive others debtors no matter how hard that is; God's protection when we are tempted to chose love and not be tempted.Our final question to consider is 'What is the thing we are clinging to that is keeping us stuck?'

Steve continues our Prayer-Shaped Life series looking at Matthew 6 and Luke 10.He starts by asking the question - How do we stay compassionate and pray Your will be done?We are asked to remember that prayer doesn't make us responsible for everything, it makes us available for something. Compassion fatigue looks like still helping but without tenderness; giving but only giving the least. To stay compassionate without being crushed, we need Jesus to teach us how to pray. The story of the Good Samaritan demonstrates how he did the extra, stayed committed and gave costly mercy. Jesus tells us to go and do likewise. The outcome belongs to God the obedience belongs to us

Joey speaks to us from Colossians 4 verses 2 - 6. We are encouraged to devote ourselves to being in the presence of God, spending time in prayer, being thankful and laying everything aside. The more time we spend with God means we will become more like Him and our conduct becomes more Christ-like.

Imogen speaks from Matthew 28 verses 16 -20.We have been given all authority to make disciples - an apprenticeship which is an ongoing lifetime process; to go wherever you are; baptisting them - it's a public declaration + joining a discipling community; teaching - submit to Jesus as Lord.

Ben speaks about Paul's conversion and the evidence of Jesus rising again.He challenges us to always be prepared to share our story and give an answer. Ben also challenges us to make our quiet time with God a priority.

Sam speaks from John 3 verses 16 - 17 and reminds us:We are LovedGod's love is for everyoneWe have Eternal LifeJesus is our Saviour - He saved the worldWill you believe and say 'YES’?

Ness Wilson speaks from Matthew 26 verses 17 - 30 reminding us that these are Jesus' last words and like all last words, they will never be forgotten.We are encouraged to Look Back, Look Up, Look Around, Look Ahead and Look Out.

Sam speaks from 1 Peter 4 verses 7 - 11 showing us:Serve in love - Jesus is the ultimate exampleServe in joy - It's fun and a privilege to serve and be part of a ministryServe using our gifts -We all have been given gifts from God's grace and are carries of His power. Serve others - we can all love and serve others. It's for everyone - age is not a barrier.Serve in God's strength - it all flows from plugging into Jesus and knowing His heart.Serve as an act of praise - it is an act of worship, no matter what it is, especially when no one sees you serving.

Joey concludes our series in Joshua looking at chapter 10 verses 1 - 15.As Christians we are in the greatest battle.Joey asks some challenging questions:What is our response? – Faith, endurance, integrity, proactivity.Who have we partnered with? What do we need to do? Are we believing a lie?God’s promises stand firm.

Sam continues our journey through the book of Joshua, drawing from chapter 9 to remind us of a truth we all know too well: failure is real, and none of us are exempt from it. The pivotal moment in the passage comes when the people “did not inquire of the Lord.” They moved ahead without pausing, praying, or seeking God’s wisdom. It’s a pattern we can easily fall into—leaning on our own understanding, assuming we know best, and neglecting the guidance found in God’s Word. Self‑reliance can be a subtle but dangerous path.We are also reminded that we have an enemy who deceives, disguises, and distorts. Because of this, we must guard our unity carefully. Disagreement must never be allowed to take root in harmful ways; instead, we are called to challenge one another with love, grace, honour, and truth.Yet even in the midst of human failure and spiritual opposition, God’s purposes prevail. The story ultimately points us to Jesus—the One who never failed, never sinned, and came to deal fully and finally with our failure. In Him, we find both our rescue and our hope.

Steve Jefroy continues our study in the book of Joshua, looking at chapter 8 when Ai was destroyed. Joshua's confidence was knocked even after miraculous the river Jordan parting. But he listened to God and moved closer to God to hear His instruction to get up and go again. Steve reminded us that victory is not about strength, it's about obedience.Shame hides us but Grace finds us and faith grows when we stop hiding.

Sam continues our series in the book of Josuha looking at chapter 7 when the consequences of rejecting God's authority through rebellion, corruption, weakness and lead to death. The greatest act of God's holy justice is the greatest act of His holy mercy. When sin is confessed and dealt with, holy justice is satisfied and leads to forgiveness.

Matt Naulls speaks from Joshua 6 when Joshua had to trust God's instruction for 6 days before understanding and seeing the outcome on day 7. The waiting can be hard but God's timing is perfect. Matt challenged us a question......What is God trusting us with?

Diane brings us the next part of our study of Josuha, looking at Joshua 4 & 5.After the whole nation crossed the Jordan, Joshua called together twelve men to collect twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan. These stones were a remembrance of how God was faithful and kept His promises.Our faith is strengthened when we remember what God has done for us in the past and that remembrance helps us navigate what we are going through now and in the future.Diane gives personal examples of her memoral stones and encourages us think of our past experiences and what our memorial stones are.

Joey Little continues our new series in Joshua, looking at chapter 3 verses 3 - 17. We are encouraged ,like Joshua, to focus on God, reflect on the past when God moved first and then step into what God has for us with faith not fear.

Steve Jefroy starts our series going through the book of Joshua chapter 1.Courage is stepping into God's strength. Faith remembers what fear forgets. Fear forgets who God is. Faith remembers what God has already done and trusts what He has promised to do.Where is God asking you to trust Him?

Sam speaks to us on the first Sunday of 2026 from John 2 verses 2 - 11, when Jesus turned the water into wine at a wedding.We are asked to consider how following God's instruction is vital for Christian living,We are challenged to follow the call of Jesus whole-heartedly and fill our jars and fill them to the brim!(Apologies the first part of the preach is missing)

Sam speaks to us about God's rescuing love being more than just simple words, it declares His identity, it cannot change, it's undeserved and He is the source of love. God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus, His one and only son.Our response is not optional, we are called to love one another, it's not always easy but it's one of the primary ways the world catches a glimpse of God.Accept - know you are lovedAsk - who can you show God's love toAct - put it into action, serve when no one is lookingWhen we love one another, God is visible.

Nic Knight concludes our Advent series at our Carol Service speaking from Matthew 2 and the signs the Magi followed when Jesus was born and the signs we are seeing today that Jesus is real today.Is your world too noisy to hear the signs that Jesus is the Messiah today?

Lei continues our advent series from Matthew 2 verses 1 - 12 showing us that true joy is planted internally and eternally.She challenged us to get intimate with God if we have lost the eternal joy of salvation, by reading His Word, spending time in prayer, talking to Him daily and sharing stories and filling each others 'joy tanks' up.

Brian Heasley speaks to us on the second Sunday in Advent from Matthew 2 verses 1 - 11, asking us to consider the gifts the Magi gave to Jesus:Gold - given to kingsFrankincense - a sweet smelling resin used in worshipMyrrh - an ointment used in burialThey gave gifts, bowed down and worshipped the Ultimiate Gift, Jesus.Let's bow down and worship and say 'Thank you for Your gift of love'.

Joey Little speaks to us on the first Sunday in Advent from Matthew 2 verses 1-2, 11 asking us to consider what The Magi tell us about Jesus.In a world of 16,000 different people group our challenge is how desperate are we to share Jesus. God gave His best in sending His Son, are we willing to give our best?

Richard Anniss speaks to us from 2 Peter 1:1-15 and John 15:1-11 about living the Christian life with the tension of passion and zeal & grace and rest. He challenges us to follow the example Jesus set for us and perserve.

Sam speaks to us on Safeguarding Sunday from Psalm 91 helping us see a world broken by sin; filled with dangers God never intended for His creation. God acknowledges evil; He does not ignore it! God actively protects giving us a refuge: a safe place to run and a fortress: a place where God arms and equips us.Sam challenges us to use the processes, report any concerns. The impact will be a community where the vulnerable are safe, the wounded are healed, and every person knows they are seen, valued, and loved. Will you display God’s heart in your actions?

Ian Savory from Lighthouse Church in Sheringham encouraged us from Joshua chapter 4 verses 1 - 7 to remember all that God has done, how faithful He has been and to give thanks.Ian challenged us to remember who has been faithful in our lives and to contact them to thank them. And ultimately to give thanks for our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Sam talks from 1 Corintians 1 verses 8 - 9:God’s Faithfulness Is Defined in His Character. Faithfulness is not just what God does; it’s who He is. God will never fail, never break trust, and never abandon us.God’s Faithfulness Depends on God. If God’s faithfulness flows from His very nature, then it isn’t dependent on us. God doesn’t operate in contracts; ones written with clauses. He operates in covenants; He totally gives Himself to us.God’s Faithfulness Is Demonstrated by Our Salvation. The greatest display of God’s faithfulness is seen at the cross. He has already fulfilled the most painful promise of all; to save you through the cross. The cross is God’s ultimate act of faithfulness.

Pastor Daniel from 24-7 Prayer Peru spoke to us (translation by Andy Taylor from 24-7 prayer Peru & Hope Church) from John 11, the story of Lazarus. A word God gave him in September 2025.Pastor Daniel looks at how the two sisters, Mary and Martha responded to Jesus' arrival - Martha went to Jesus and Mary stayed at home.We are encouraged when hard things happen to stay close to Jesus - Mary sat and listened to Jesus, stay close to your family -don't escape from your family when you need each other. and keep believing in the power of Jesus because when we show faith He shows His power.Pastor Daniel finished by saying that today 19th October 2025, Hope Church stopped being a name and started being our identity.

John McGinley speaks to us from Acts 19: 1 - 12 when Paul went to Ephesus and instead of following a well-worn strategy, he followed the Holy Spirit direction instead. Don't try to systemise but create an environment where God can come into. It's about our posture and position.Our challenges:Put Jesus in His rightful place as our LordTo be filled with the Holy SpiritHealing, we have been set free by Jesus to heal.

Sam concludes our series from the book The God Story looking at Acts 3 when Peter and John heals the lame man at the Beautiful Gate.We are challenged to not miss moments and pay attention to where God is leading us because when we pay attention to others' stories, we create space for God's story to be written in their lives.Don't close the book, keep playing our part.

Steve speaks on the penultimate chapter of The God Story from Revelation 5.In a world that is fighting for our attention on social media, TV and the internet we have a survival guide in the book of Revelation. The seven churches John sent letters to faced the same pressures we face today.In a world full of lions, follow the Lamb.

Sam continues with our series The God Story looking at The Church. He shows us from Acts 10 in the story of Peter meeting Cornelius, that church isn’t supposed to look like us but like God. God cares about our heart not our race, position or appearance.We are challenged to check our heart, choose welcome over comfort, declare Jesus clearly and invest, don’t just inform.

Adrian continues with our The God Story series looking at when Jesus started His ministry on earth.

This week, Sam continues our journey through The God Story by diving into the life of Abraham—a man who responded to God’s call with bold obedience.Through Abraham’s story, we’re reminded that God is still calling His people today. We are called to imitate Christ, who gave the ultimate act of compassion by dying on the cross for us.Diane asks us, what moves us emotionally and challenges us to take action, it can not only help someone but it can improve our own wellbeing.

Sam challenges us about serving with a deep commitment to God and the church, it's not an add-on, it's about a relationship out-worked, out of Christian unity.We are to love God first then love others - out of our love for God, flows our love for others.Our serving should be saturated in humilty. Jesus went low to raise others up and the same should be for us. Let's jump into the flow of serving.

Steve Campbell speaks about how conflict is evitable in the church and it's normal because we are family, God is our Father. He gives us steps to help us resolve conflict.

Brian speaks from Acts 3 verses 1 - 10, the story of when Peter and John became Good News to the paralyzed man.Brian speaks about sharing our story; prayful - breathe in prayer, breathe out in our lives; being interruptible - do we allow interruptions? And finally, be kind - it transforms lives.

Sam speaks to us about Ananias in Acts 9 v 10 -19, when he faced his fear after God asked him to go and see Saul. Sam reminds us to come close to God and know the reassurance of His safety when we grab His hand. Sam also draws comparisons to Moses when he was asked by God to go and lead His people. Sam finishes with the challenge of being bold, stepping out and imaging the transformation in the peoples' lives when we do.

Jonathan Armstrong continues our series in Ephesians, speaking from chapter 5 verses 1 and 2. He asks us to consider our identity as part of God's family and being intimidators of Christ.

Our Kids and Youth leader, Lei continues our series in the book of Ephesians, looking at chapter 3. We are all called to share the good news, it's our assignment. Lei ends her talk praying the beautiful prayer from verses 14 to 21.

Michele continues our series in the book of Ephesians. She expands Chapter 2 looking at our position and practice. When we lived without God we deserved His punishment but because of His great love for us we have a new position and practice and are united with Christ.
