America’s Next Top Model premiered in May 2003 and was a reality show competition series based on finding America’s next top model, literally. The competition series would feature women from all over, from Kansas City to New York, and select 10-13 typical women, whipping them into modeling shape over the course of 12 weeks, with looming eliminations each episode. The show’s popularity really began to rise with higher stakes and more incentives by Cycle 3.
