What's Inside the Castle With 99 Towers?
Deep in the forests of Upper Silesia, there is a castle with 99 towers that lead nowhere — no rooms, no purpose, no reason. Built by a family that clawed its way from coal mines to the edges of the German imperial court, Moszna Castle was never meant to be practical. It was meant to be impossible to ignore. This episode traces the extraordinary rise of Franz Winckler, a peasant miner who married into nobility, built an industrial empire, and set in motion a dynasty that would eventually construct one of the most visually overwhelming buildings in Central Europe. Inside, the castle tells a stranger story than the legends that surround it. Hidden servant tunnels once served by push-rail carts. A private apartment designed specifically for Kaiser Wilhelm II. A family crypt that was never used because the ground beneath was too wet. And 99 towers that, from the outside, project power — and from the inside, go absolutely nowhere. This is the story of a family desperate to be remembered, and the castle they built to make sure of it.

Why This Castle Was Built on the Edge of a Cliff
Perched on a sheer cliff at the border of two rival medieval kingdoms, Najita Castle has stood for over 700 years — and for most of that time, almost no one has seen what is actually inside it. Built as a wooden watchtower in the 13th century, the fortress was gradually transformed into a stone stronghold with Gothic entry halls, a 60-meter well that never reached water, underground dungeons, and a tower room so high that it has a doorway opening onto nothing but air. We gained rare access to its restricted areas — including spaces not open to the public — to find out what this landmark is actually hiding. At the heart of the castle is a centuries-old legend: Princess Omina, said to be the daughter of an Inca ruler, was murdered at the castle gates after smuggling a lost treasure across oceans to hide it within these walls. A mysterious document with unknown symbols was discovered here in 1946, reigniting the belief that Inca gold still lies somewhere beneath the chapel tower. We went inside that exact space to see what archaeologists actually found — and the answer is one of the most significant historical discoveries in the region's modern history. Niedzica is very unique - the borders here shifted in 1920. In 1939-1945, Niedzica and the whole Spisz were joined to the Slovak state under Josef Tiso. In 1945, Niedzica and part of Spisz were returned to Poland (within the borders of 1920).

What's Inside the Secret Zodiac Castle?
Krasiczyn Castle in southeastern Poland might be one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Europe. Built in the late 1500s by the powerful Krasicki family, the estate features five towers, arcaded courtyards, and more than 2,700 square meters of intricate sgraffito artwork covering nearly every wall. At first glance it feels like a perfect aristocratic residence, but the deeper you explore, the stranger its symbolism becomes. Each tower represents a stage of human life and power—from the Papal Tower of spiritual formation to the Royal Tower of authority. But the castle’s greatest mystery lies inside the Divine Tower chapel, where something completely unexpected appears in sacred space: a full zodiac cycle embedded in the floor. Why would astrological symbols exist in a Catholic chapel? And what were the builders trying to say about faith, power, and the universe? Today we explore the hidden meanings of Krasiczyn Castle.

What's Inside Nosferatu's Castle?
What’s really inside Nosferatu’s castle? High above the Orava River in northern Slovakia stands Orava Castle — the real medieval fortress used as Count Orlok’s lair in the 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu. Built in the 13th century after the Mongol invasions under King Béla IV of Hungary, this cliffside stronghold features 154 rooms, fortified towers, defensive bastions, and a network of underground tunnels carved directly into the rock.In this episode, we explore inside Orava Castle, uncovering its hidden passageways, siege-era defenses, royal history, and the exact filming locations that helped shape one of the most influential vampire movies ever made. From medieval military engineering to early horror cinema, this is the true story behind Nosferatu’s castle — and why this dramatic fortress became one of the most iconic locations in film history.

What’s Inside Europe’s Largest Private Castle Ruin
This is the ruin of Krzyżtopór Castle — once the largest private residence in Europe. Built in the 17th century by Polish nobleman Krzysztof Ossoliński, this fortress-palace was designed as a symbol of faith, power, and cosmic order. With 365 windows for the days of the year, 52 rooms for the weeks, four towers for the seasons, underground marble stables, central heating, hand-cranked lifts, and possibly even a glass-floor aquarium library, it was centuries ahead of its time. But within a single generation, the family line was gone. War, invasion, and looting stripped the estate bare during Sweden’s devastating 1655 invasion of Poland, and later conflicts reduced it to ruins. So how did one of Europe’s most ambitious castles rise so quickly — and collapse just as fast? And was the legendary aquarium real, or just romantic myth? Let’s step inside and find out.
