A Better Bird: The Rebirth of Force of Nature Chicken

What happened to Force of Nature's original chicken program—and why did we take it off the shelves? In this episode of Where Hope Grows, Taylor, Robby, and Katie break down the bold decision to pause our poultry program and the cross-country journey that followed. The result? A re-invented, radically improved, and welfare-focused solution we call A Better Bird. You'll hear what makes our new chicken different: Slow-growing, heritage breeds (never Cornish Cross) 100% organic feed—no synthetic chemicals, fillers, or byproducts Unrestricted access to pasture, clean environments, and silvopasture systems Third-party animal welfare certified and zero use of antibiotics or mRNA vaccines Why does it matter? Because conventional chicken isn't what it seems—fast-grown, nutrient-poor, and raised in confinement. Force of Nature's new program is built to nourish you, respect the animal, and heal the land. If you're going to eat chicken, eat the best chicken possible. Available now at Whole Foods Market, Sprouts and online at forceofnature.com/chicken

On this week's episode of Where Hope Grows, I sit with my wife and life partner, Katie Forrest to talk about all things bison ranching. We spend time to share and reflect on a few of our favorite (and most traumatic) stories as first generation bison ranchers. Through these stories we talk about arrowhead hunting, how to cope with a 100 bison vision quest, as well how animals on our ranch receive a name. These stories serve as reminders of the deeper wisdom and important lessons bestowed upon us in our journey through regenerative agriculture. Hog Wild

On this wild edition of Where Hope Grows, we look into the complex and often misunderstood story of feral pigs in the United States. Often regarded as destructive invasive species, droves of wild hogs are causing massive ecological degradation at an unfathomable scale. What if the solution to this problem was well within reach? What if we changed our perspectives and turned this destructive force into a healing and nourishing energy? What if we voted with our forks and knives? This is Where Hope Grows. Water from Stone

On this inspiring episode of Where Hope Grows we travel to the famous Bamberger Ranch Preserve to explore the gift of water. Over 50 years ago this landscape was a degraded cedar monoculture with a shattered water cycle. Through a seemingly impossible vision of restoring this landscape, a first generation land steward named J David Bamberger looked into Mother Nature for wisdom, guidance, and grace. What happened next was beyond his wildest dreams and lead towards reshaping conservation practices in much of the Southwest United States. This story is about hope, nature's capacity for forgiveness, and about creating water from stone. This podcast is made possible by the support of Force of Nature. Learn more about ROAM Ranch.

On the debut episode of Where Hope Grows, we tell the story of a bison field harvest on the regenerating pastures of ROAM Ranch. This story is about compassion, relationship, and gratitude for the animals who sustain our lives. This podcast is made possible by the support of Force of Nature. Learn more about ROAM Ranch.
