Whine Time

For those out there who are of the opinion that Australian news today is simply too coarse and intellectual (...), welcome to Whine Time. The Whine Time podcast is designed to give you an interesting overview of the week that was in Aussie current affairs, reaching from the political to the sporting to the outright absurd. To call this a watered down look at the news of the day would be accurate, save for the point that the only liquid used to dilute our hard-hitting journalism comes with a cork. If you are keen to be au fait with contemporary culture enough to stay savvy at the water cooler, but not so much as to actually contribute to the machinations of our society then this is the news for you. Each week Em and Code will post a new podcast, cutting Australia's tough and chewy current affairs into bite sized pieces - with the odd food fight just for fun. So put away your "Age", "Herald" or "MX", download the news, open a full-bodied red, and let them be your fuzzy wuzzy through the

    Whine Time Podcast - 18/4/07

This week Em and Code take on Aussie politics, talking about a dancing Rudd, Peter Costello's python, drowning in tunnels and street art. They also entered into the gun debate and considered both sides of this newly raised fence. Richard Gere and Madonna have also been in the news this week - as well as some effigies and stone fights. The talk then turned to the BIG change in Aussie TV, and upcoming nothings. All this over a cheeky 2006 Wolf Blass Eaglehawk Chardonnay.
