The NHL draft has come and gone with little to no joy around it....Proposed changes to the CBA for the 26-27 season have been leaked and they look...interesting...Finally...Mitch and Vegas....I wonder how this will turn out...

The Florida Panthers have won the Stanley Cup...Again...because of course they did. We are all pretty happy to not see McDavid hoist the cup for various different reasons, and now we can move on to the most interesting part of the year...that weird phase between the cup, the draft, and free agency.we also discuss the craziness that was the PWHL expansion draft for Vancouver and Seattle and air our frustrations at what that league needs to do better to attract and retain more fans (and how to handle the next expansion better).Finally the news never stops in the NHL as there were a handful of trades, signings, and league investigations to talk about.

It's been 6 months, and a lot of hockey has happened. The Minnesota Wild won in OT last night, the Golden Knights were involved in a stat line that hasn't happened in 80 years...but screw all that because the 4 Nations Faceoff rosters are out. Instant analysis, reactions, and who got snubbed.

Some how at the 1/4 mark of the NHL season...*Checks notes*...Minnesota Wild are the best team in the NHL and are making blockbuster trades. The Golden Knights are somehow atop the Pacific Division (despite getting their clock cleaned by Utah), PWHL Season 2 is off and running as the Minnesota Frost raised their banner (we were there for that), and we take a look at the projected team USA roster for the 4 Nations Faceoff 48 hours before the official announcement.

For once we found someone that was more cutthroat then the Vegas front office. The Bruins fire their coach, Ovi is hurt, the Winter Classic jerseys are out, Vegas still sucks, Minnesota is off to their best ever start, and the PWHL missed out on a major opportunity.

The regular season is fully in swing, the Knights are...ok...the Wild are...ok...and the Jets are still stupid good. The PWHL has launched their new uniforms (top 6 incoming). There was a lot of good, bad, and ugly stories around the Hockey universe this week, and we tried to cover some of the big ones. Also...Ian is not a very good hockey player....he explains in this episode why

Things are going a little too well for both the Golden Knights and the Wild. the VGK still can't win on the road, and the Wild have only played on the road. McDavid is hurt for a few weeks, the Preds and Avs still stuck, the Jets finally lost...and the NHL is pretty much on its usual early season BS.

When we last talked, Ian was thrilled because his precious VGK were sitting pretty, and Erin was unbelieveably upset because the Wild had lost a game...Fast forward a week and now Erin is content with the Wild (since they figured out how to be a good team), and Ian...well...Ian just likes to yell now.

The regular season is under way, and the Wild are already on the receiving end of bad officiating. The Knights are shockingly a good team. Edmonton is in 31st, and all is right with the world.

On the second day of the NHL season, the eve of the Knights kicking off their season, and on the day before the Wild get under way, there is always news to unpack that has nothing to do with those teams at all (Boston and New York Rangers mostly).

We are getting dangerously close to the start of the regular season. The Knights have been busy with a crowded bottom 6, and the Wild...well they are shockingly chill right now.

Time to check in on the Vegas and Minnesota pre-season happenings. Apparently if you aren't scoring 8 goals in a game you are doing something very wrong.

After a short break, we are back with our regularly scheduled programming. On today's docket, the PWHL has announced the new names of the inaugural 6 teams...and only some of them are good, Askarov was finally traded, Leon made entirely too much money, and Ian forgets to turn the A/C off.

This is an episode I never wanted us to have to make. Johnny Hockey left a mark on the hockey community that will last for years to come...I only hope we do right by him.
