Will Roberts’ Weekly Telegram as a political variety radio show strives to bring disparate and often refreshingly unusual viewpoints that can be respectfully shared and explored.“All I ever knew I read in the newspaper” was not only a famous Will Rogers quote but also the honest truth. Rogers scoured any and all newsprint he could get his hands on, which made for some incredible viewpoints. Will Roberts has updated that quote, “All I ever knew I read on the Internet.” With millions of news events being sent to the web, Will is sure to never run out of things to say.In a world where talk radio has become talk at you radio, Will is embarking on a territory that has not been touched in a long time, the world of communication. The Tea party Humor segment
Well, this week a handful of elections took place around the country. There were some issues that stuck out ... like a sore thumb. At the top of the list was the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare), I mean just the website. Women’s issues were a hot topic as well. It was more like woman having issues with certain parties, like the Republican and the Tea Party, telling them what they can do with their bodies. I know a fist full of Tea Party folks and I know they think that we need to get back to the basics. But if going “back to basics” means that men go “back” to pulling woman around by their hair …. I can tell you two things. One: woman will cut their hair short Two: most of them likely come after you with the scissors.I don’t totally disagree with the Tea Party folks, that we should band together as a country and strengthen the people more than the politicians, but my Tea Party friends “Going back” to anytime in our country’s history most likely means we will be cutting out freedoms of certain groups: Gay, Black, Woman, .. HmmmA word of advice to the Tea Party, recent elections have shown that the preferred drink of American’s isn’t black tea, it’s not green tea, not white tea... It’s diversity.Hey, I’m all good for starting another party. As a matter of fact the Tea Party has convinced me to start my own party, “The Toga Party” who are a real loud bunch of folks that dress funny and don’t follow anyones rules! Wait... maybe that is too close to the Tea Party! I am Will Roberts and this is your Weekly Telegram - (Bumper - For more info .. Political Comedians.com)Your Friend,Will Roberts

This week on Knock Around the News
Crazy Days in Congress 16 days of limited government, and what do we have to show for it? Maybe the best argument off all time that the USA would get along just fine with a federal government half its current size. Republicans backed down off the precipice of their desire to augment the president’s Affordable Care Act, and just enough of them voted with democrats to end the shutdown(or more appropriately the “slowdown,” as a majority of federal worker were back on the job already), and increase the debt ceiling limit. So we’re good until next year, because congress wouldn’t dare follow the people’s will and solve the problem completely. Nope, the best they could do was to fund the government through Jan. 15 and raise the debt limit through Feb. 7. And just as the House of Representatives was voting, the chamber’s stenographer Dianne Reidy flipped her lid, grabbed a mic, and started shouting religious rants. She told Fox News that “For the past 2 and 1/2 weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber.” Good thing those congressional federal employees have premium gold-plated Cadillac health care plans. She was taken away for a mental check-up, and taxpayers will happily foot the bill for her treatment, and medical leave. Social Suicide Here’s a terrible story that suggests profound necessity to employ our younger generation with coping skills when it comes to taunting or bullying via social media. 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick climbed to the top of an abandoned cement plant in Lakeland Florida, and then jumped to her death. She had been taunted and bullied by as many as 15 other girls during the past several months via online message boards and texts over a relationship she had with a boy who later ended up dating a girl who became her main antagonist. That 14-year-old girl and another 12-year-old girl were both arrested and charges with felony aggravated stalking. After Rebecca’s death, the 14 year old posted a message that said, “Yes IK I bullied REBECCA and she killed herself but IDGAF.” To be fair, the 14-year-old’s father says his little angel never sent any such message, and would never taunt or bully anyone. There’s plenty of finger pointing about how such a tortuous scenario could play itself out for months without any substantial intervention or resolution. We teach our kids to look both ways when crossing the street, and not to play with fire. In this world or deep connectivity and instant messaging, maybe it’s time for parents to start teaching our young ones how to cope with such cyber-bullying situations rather than pretending they are not a potentially gravely damaging circumstance. Appalling Air Take a breath of air in some parts of the planet, and you’re sucking in two lungs full of cancer-causing carcinogens. World Health Organization has an arm called The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). That agency put together a study that found in the year 2010, 223,000 deaths from lung cancer worldwide were caused by air pollution. The assertion is as simple as it is disturbing: air itself is now considered a carcinogen in some parts of the world. Especially troubling areas include China, other areas of Asia, Mexico, Central America, North Africa, and even some areas eastern North America.

Happy ObamaCare Day! Will Roberts
Happy ObamaCare Day! Well I woke up today and like most Americans I feel pretty good. But maybe just maybe I feel a little more positive that if I accidentally step off a cliff, you know like the Government did last night I'll be ok. Mainly because something new has swept the land, like a new reality program. Only it is a program that the Government is producing called The Affordable Care Act "ObamaCare. A lot of my friends on the right today are wearing black and I am not sure if it is clothes of morning or their special ops outfits to prepare for the Government take over they have been telling me about. Either way, I am not going to look at this in a negative way, I refuse to. Of course if we get into a few weeks of this and the effects of ferlowing 800,000+ government employees start rearing it's ugly heads. I will start knocking on doors of my local and state government officials… thats to say they will even be in their office. Most likely they might just use this time to work on their golf swing, or their tans. If I had a say to what the money I give (Taxes) is used for in this country, I'd give most of it to get those politician a many or shock therapy. Something is needed to change the course of this civil discourse we call Washington. So happy #HappyObamaCareDay to all of you who celebrate it and if you don't I am sorry for your loss. Oh, Just make sure you don't go purposely jumping out of planes, or riding a mechanical Bull, there seems to be some folks who won't give up that defund thing, so I'd wait about 4 years before you get sick. Oh and i will leave you with a little joke: How many Congress folks does it take to CHANGE a lightbulb… Were not really sure because it's been a long time since we have changed anything! Knock knock- who`s there? Repeal, repeal who?Knock knock- who`s there? Repeal, repeal who?Knock knock- who`s there? Repeal, repeal who?Knock knock- who`s there? Orange you glad we didn't repeal again?Well, it looks like this joke of mine might get some good airplay this week. Dem`s and Rep`s are starting the week by ripping into the President`s health care bill. Now, you noticed I did not say Obamacare... That`s because, in all fairness I would then have to start calling the Republican`s plan, or lack of a plan the "Don`t care" plan. Now, Republicans don`t you dare look down on this humorist and think I am being heavy LEFT handed, "cause even though Americans got problems with this (plan) Bill, It has been a plan for a while. Which now puts it in a "plan of action" mode as opposed to "Republican`s plan of Distraction".Now, I am not one-sided on this issue. See, I don`t know that I agree that folks should have to buy insurance or face fines. To me, that`s like saying you need to pay Vinney each month to keep Vinney`s brother from breaking your legs. Let`s just say, we know Vinny (Dem`s) are trying to look like he`s providing us with a good service, but we know he`s pulling our leg. Then again I see the service in it. Can you imagine treating drivers the same way? You don`t have to have insurance, well; our street would very quickly start looking like a Friday night at the Demolition Derby.Just so you know, this assessment comes from my years of being dirt poor and having more $500 cars than a used car lot. Wait, I hope my last statement did not make me sound like I crash a lot. I am just pointing out that folks that don`t have money for insurance, junk the old, and buy a new ...used.Either way, stop messing around cause Americans are getting sick and tired of this and I am sure that "Sick & Tired" is not covered under the current health care plans.PS. I really don`t think it is fair having folks who get health care for free ( you big boys & girls ) to decide what is best for those of us who can`t even afford to pay attention.

Knock around the News 9-20-13
You’ve Got Mail Word came out this week that President Obama traded letters with Iran’s new president Hassan Rouhani. The white house confirms Obama wrote to congratulate Rouhani on his election victory in June, a belated letter, yes, but a letter nonetheless. The dispatch also touched on some other matters of interest to the two leaders, presumably Iran’s nuclear program. Which begs some introspection into just how a president sends a confidential note to another president of a country that has no diplomatic relations with his own? Did Obama send an aid down to the local CVS to pick out a Hallmark card, then sit at his desk and pen some kind words? It’s a little more complicated than that. Correspondence, possibly a physical letter had to make its way from the President’s desk, through diplomatic aides, to the Swiss Embassy, where it was then handed over to Iranian diplomats who eventually gave it to Rouhani. This in a world of instant communication via email and text. Regardless, it appears the two leaders now have a starting point to discuss Iran’s nuclear ambitions. In an interview with Anne Curry of NBC news Rouhani said "From my point of view the tone of the letter was positive and constructive," and he also said Iran will never develop nuclear weapons. Stay tuned. Robotic Relationships After a decade at war in foreign lands, a big focus of the US military is developing robotic technology to fight battles on the front lines and save human lives. But here’s a twist no one saw coming. Julie Carpenter did a study at the University of Washington in which she interviewed 23 Explosive Ordnance Personnel from the U.S. military who regularly use robots to intervene in dangerous situations. She found the operators develop human like bonds with the machines for which they are responsible, naming them in some circumstances, and even having funerals for them when they’re hit and put out of service on the battlefield. She worries that soldiers' decisions on sending a robot into harm’s way might be biased by their feelings for the equipment (although the soldiers in her study said that was not the case). So could it be that the robotic role might be tempered by the tether to its human, and not be as effective a tool as the military hoped for? What if an operator is hesitant to send a robot into a tight spot? And on the other side, could operators become overly stressed and suffer post-traumatic-stress symptoms when a robot gets smashed to smithereens, shot or otherwise destroyed? Welcome to the world of unintended consequences. Important to note, this did not appear to be a highly scientific clinical study, but it raises some interesting questions about the relationship between man and machine. You Gotta Like This Ruling When our forefathers wrote the Bill of Rights, they could have never imagined a world where Facebook would reign supreme. A big legal battle over whether “liking” something on the social networking site is an expression of free speech appears to be settled, at least for now. Here’s the story: a former deputy in Hampton, Virginia says he was fired for clicking Like on the Facebook page of his boss's opponent in a race for sheriff back in 2009. The case ended up in the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals which ruled that clicking like on Facebook is the "Internet equivalent of displaying a political sign in one's front yard, which the Supreme Court has held is substantive speech." So now the case by Deputy Daniel R. Carter Jr. and five other former employees of the Hampton Sheriff's Department can proceed forward, they’re hoping to get their jobs back. But they won’t be getting any back pay because as a public official Sheriff B.J. Roberts is protected by the 11th Amendment's qualified-immunity provision regarding the scope of lawsuits against public officials, according to the circuit court.

interview with alleged AnonGhost Hackers
AnonGhost Hackers ? Will Roberts Weekly Telegram Radio show exclusive. Wednesday is the 12th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. And on the eve of remembrance of that infamous day, there are some indications another attack is in the works: a purported plan to hack into high-level websites in Israel and the USA. One of the groups said to be organizing the cyber attack is known as “AnonGhost.” It’s made up of so-called “hactivists” who use their computer skills to side step online security measures and gain access to secure websites and systems. Once inside, they can wreak havoc on a business or government agency’s cyber operations. The Weekly Telegram, through an anonymous source recently was contacted by two men claiming to be major players at AnonGhost. Now it’s very important to note: hackers aren’t the kind of people who give you a home phone number and a street address so you can send them a Christmas card. It’s a cloak and dagger world of secrecy, which means even though I have good reason to believe these two men are legitimate in their claims, it’s impossible to confirm their identities, or their affiliation with AnonGhost. But they had some very interesting things to say nonetheless, and at very least seemed knowledgeable about the world of “hactivism” and the looming September eleventh cyber attack. So interesting, I figured you’d like to give it a listen.WillSays.com

Will Roberts Weekly Telegram - Durango
Durango was founded by the Denver & Rio Grande Railway in 1880. The railroad arrived in Durango on August 5, 1881 and construction on the line to Silverton began in the fall of the same year. By July of 1882, the tracks to Silverton were completed and the train began hauling both passengers and freight. From the very beginning, the railroad was promoted as a scenic route for passenger service although the line was constructed primarily to haul mine ores, both gold and silver, from the San Juan Mountains. It is estimated over $300 million in precious metals has been transported over this route.By 1885 the population of Silverton had grown to 1100 and Otto Mears completed the toll road to Ouray and additional narrow gauge track out of Silverton was laid down in 1887. In 1893, 10 large mines in the Silverton district were forced to close when silver prices dropped from $1.05/oz to $.63/oz. Just three years later the Yankee Girl and Guston Mines played out. In Durango, the fire of 1889 virtually destroyed downtown and the first automobile arrived by train in 1902. By 1906, Mesa Verde was designated a National Park, increasing the potential for tourism promotions.Throughout the next twenty years the railroad faced many challenges; slides, floods, snow, war and financial instability. When the US Government entered WW I, it assumed operation of the railroad. Shortly after resuming control of railroad operations, the D&RGW reorganized due to financial difficulties. Silverton suffered devastating effects from the Spanish Flu Epidemic of 1918 - 10 percent of the population died in just six weeks! In addition, the Gold King Mine closed, the Sunnyside Mine temporarily ceased operations for almost ten years and the Silverton Railroad closed. With the advent of WW II, the US Government requisitioned narrow gauge equipment to use in Alaska and the smelter in Durango reopened to process uranium for use in the war. The smelter continued to process uranium instead of silver into the late 1940's due to the Cold War. By 1947 the Silverton branch was in danger of being abandoned. A determined staff stepped in and helped to promote tourism keeping the line alive. Then Hollywood discovered Durango and the railroad. Over the next ten years several movies were filmed in the area showcasing the train: Ticket to Tomahawk, Across the Wide Missouri, Denver & Rio Grande, Viva Zapata and Around the World in 80 Days.During the latter part of the 1960s, the Durango-Silverton was registered as a National Historic Landmark and was awarded as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. In 1969 the D&RGW abandoned the tracks south of Durango isolating the line and leaving the future of the line in question. Hollywood continued its fascination with the area and the railroad with the filming of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. As the railroad prepared to celebrate its 100th birthday, Charles E. Bradshaw, Jr. purchased the Silverton branch and with the restoration process complete, engine #481 returned to service after 20 years in retirement.Durango Train Robbery: Will Roberts - Johnny Hotshot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOtXsnrcayI&feature=player_embedded#t=0

Will Roberts Weekly Telegram - Rochelle
Rochelle is a homeless person in one of the most difficult places to be homeless in the summer... Texas. Sweltering heat and politicians that don't seem to care much about street folks, but also seem to be targeting woman and they're choice, to make their own choices. The oddest thing about downtown Houston was the fact that so much construction was being done to make the city attractive to touring business folks. Yet I saw 10-15 homeless people each block. If I were the city of Houston I would create a walk way about 15-20 feet above the sidewalk across the whole of the downtown. This way all though folks in their fine business attire would not have to see the city as it really is. Plus they wouldn't run the risk of rubbing up against the homeless and getting dirty. Thats got to be easier and cheaper than actually taking care of the folks on the streets.

Will Roberts Weekly Telegram - Homeless
This week on the Will Roberts Weeklk Telegram radio show I stopped and talked to my guest. As in stopped on the side of the road in Los Angles (Santa Monica blvd) to talk to my guest. My guest this week, Richard, a homeless dad and husband of 4 kids and a wife of 25 years. When I first saw Richard I thought to myself the same thing I think when I see a person on the streets, I wonder how he got there? Of course since I did this weeks show I am finding that I might be alone in this wonder. I have talked to a lot of people about my experience with Richard and some of the questions I am hearing are: were you worried about talking to a strangler off the streets? Did he want money for drugs, was he drunk or high? And my answer to all these questions is NOWillSays.com

Times they are a changin’ & so is the Will Roberts Telegram! I don’t care about what the politicians think. I don’t really care about what the movie stars, writers, and media think either. For the past year on my syndicated radio show I have interviewed people. Spending time talking through the fog of their agenda,.. to sell a book, sell a campaign. This is not a bad thing, but it is NOT why I created The Telegram. I have always cared about what the people think. The real people, like you and me. So now I need to follow my heart and go to the heart of this country, its people. Listen to this real Texas Black cowboy talk with Will About the struggle he had in the 1950-60 - GREAT human stories on The Will Roberts Weekly Telegram.

Michele Bachman, John McCain... HUMOR
Here is my weekly round up of the political follies on Capital Hill, the hi-lights and low-life's of this weeks news. Before I start I want to tell you something I never knew... fish don't sleep! They get in a state that's like sleep but they look awake."I get it now!"Congress: lives in a State of confusion must be a form of sleep.THIS WEEK:Michele Bachman... She is confident on not running, that was her statement. However, I'm pretty confident that she won't win if she doesn't run. John McCain... I was part of the press core on the 2008 election and the press was in the back of the house at the campaign headquarters. They were screaming and yelling saying "We are Close! We're gonna win!"... Meanwhile we, the younger generation, had our smart phones and "The Google" and knew that he had already lost. Internal Revenue Service... How can we call it a service - Isn't the motto of business, "If you are a tea party person, the acronym for IRS is I'm Really Getting Screwed!Chinese Hackers... Some Chinese hackers hacked in and took some of the plans to our weapons, planes, and helicopters. I don't know why we are worried. I mean if the Chinese make these planes or helicopters they will be made out of LEAD and IF they get off the ground,

Will Roberts Radio -Peter Santilli
Peter Santilli.com internet shock jock ... Peter Santilli YOU don't want to miss this episode ! BIO: Peter Santilli I am a recovering life long Reagan Republican who recently voted for Obama because I hoped for revolutionary change. Now I am a full time a-political realist who is disgusted by left-right psychological warfare. As I have researched deeper into our nation’s history, I now have so many questions about the JFK assassination, George H.W. Bush’s CIA ties to the assassination of JFK, the Reagan administration’s drug running; war mongering and as Charlotte Iserbyt personally witnessed, installation of communism through the Department of Education. As I progressed in my research, I discovered one of the pivotal points in our nation’s history was the Bush-era explosion of global mob and drug cartel control. It is now widely known, yet conveniently unproven that George H.W. Bush’s legacy as a CIA C.E.O. laid the groundwork for the Clinton’s Dixie-Mafia drug cartel dynasty. As I have observed and have been told, the Bush/Clinton drug cartels have been battling with the Obama Chicago mafia ever since.

Being ok with Gay Marriage does not mean
Being ok with Gay Marriage does not mean you are gay, does it? says Will RobertsReleasedMay 16, 2012Well, back in WWII we learned about the Kamikaze - they were a group of folks that believed in something so much that they would give up their lives to prove their point. As bad and as the concept proved to be for both sides... it did prove a point. And that is when people make a decision it’s hard to change their minds. Fast forward to today... and some of the terrorists we have in our mist... I can say the same about them. Mainly because they also get woman and children to do their dirty work. They strap bombs on and they and send them out with a message about how strongly they feel about their cause … cause they are most likely sitting somewhere in a hideout speaking as boldly as they can... from a videotaped speech. That’s a far cry from the Kamikazes that had honor. This week Obama had a come to Jesus moment and did what some folks think is his kamikaze moment. It is a move that no president has ever done … then again it is a move that you most like likely would see happen in a campaign season. The headline: Obama comes out about Gay Marriage… I’ll skip all the puns as we have a lot of work to do with this subject... I’ll give you a min … OK, now this subject of gay marriage and its relationship with our government is described as rocky at best. I've been following most of California’s plight for some time and as the west coast folks seem to be the type that like to head up a parade, the government has been flirting with this subject and Californians so much that I am not sure where we are at all on this subject … Now the country’s politicians are doing what is now being referred to as a head fake for the folks with an alternative lifestyle; gay marriages in California or around the country – see, in the West Coast, folks (The government) did not want to be shown up by Massachusetts or any other city or state that allows gay marriage, so they gave gay folks a taste of the life that us heterosexuals live, you know, true freedom. And it’s been a on an off relationship for sometime... right now they are separated... and working on custody of the kids. The last I remember about 18,000 new gay married couples got married or tried to get married in California...but of course they ran the risk of not really being married and possibly having to give back all the wedding presents ta boot. Low and behold - they did what kids call "a take back." So if you think the odds of marriage is tough for straight folks - try being gay and adding your own government having reservations about your marriage as well. Now, I won`t spend a lot of time talking about this because I don`t know much about this subject. I only know what all other American`s know and that is that we have the freedom of choice in this country, well unless it goes against other American`s freedoms, I guess. My knowledge on this subject is based on working in entertainment for 25 years in California, which allowed me to be able to point out protesters in the crowd on TV by their first name. Anyway, I'll tell you that in the 25 years I spent in theater I can safely say I don`t have any outward signs of leprosy, I am not gay, and I am also not any neater or better dressed.. Darn. See, I know I am stepping into the fires of Hell and most folks of faith would say that just mentioning this subject means that I might just have lost my place in line . . . up there. But, it is pretty simple, the day our government tells us who we can love and be with for the rest of our lives, is the day we will narrow our choices of everything down to one choice, your soda pop, you health care, your money, your cars, your freedom. Because even though some things in our country are black and white, don`t kill folks, don`t steal, (that is not just a Bible thing) our freedoms come in many shapes colors and sizes. As much as it is not my lifestyle, I do understand love. And it is tough enough with any sex, let alone to have the added stress of hiding it from the world
