Living by Faith - Part 2

Living the Christian life is far more than collecting spiritual information or agreeing with biblical truths in our minds; it’s a call to a faith that takes shape in how we speak, act, love, and persevere. James reminds us that genuine faith is never static or theoretical—it moves, it obeys, it serves, and it shows itself in the everyday moments where our trust in Christ becomes visible. Join us as we explore James’s challenge to live out a faith ...

Living by Faith - Part 1

Walking by faith means thanking God for His past blessings, trusting Him through present trials, and waiting confidently for His future promises. Habakkuk lived in a dark and confusing time, yet he discovered a truth that transformed him: “the righteous shall live by his faith.” This realization shifted him from complaining to worshiping, even when every visible circumstance collapsed around him, he still chose to rejoice in the Lord and find joy in the God of his salvation.

The Kind of Faith that Pleases Him - Part 2

The type of faith God values is faith that is utterly convinced that God keeps His promises. Faith that looks back and remembers what He has done, faith that stands firm in what He is doing now, and faith that looks ahead with confidence in what He has said He will do. It is the kind of trust that holds to God’s word even when the fulfillment is not yet seen, not yet felt, not yet experienced.

  8. 90

The Kind of Faith that Pleases Him - Part 1

The kind of faith that pleases God is faith that starts with God—faith that depends on His promises and rests in His unchanging nature. It is not blind faith, not mystical faith, not hopeful wishing. It is a clear-eyed trust in the God who speaks, the God who acts, and the God who keeps His word. That’s what we see in the woman from Mark 5. She had suffered for years, exhausted every option, and found no help. But when she heard about Jesus, she didn’t just hope He might heal her—she believed.

The Challenge is Real, but God is Greater

The challenges we face in life are real. They can strengthen our faith or slowly weaken it—but in every moment, God is greater than the challenges before us. He faithfully helps us navigate the temptations and pressures of life so that our response brings honor and glory to Him. As we walk through seasons of difficulty, may we choose to walk by faith. May we hold fast to this truth: though the challenge is real, our God is greater still.

  10. 88

The Questions that Lead Us Back to God

Life’s challenges are never easy, but it’s in those very moments that we are called to trust our loving God, who works with purpose in all He allows. And when hardship presses in, these three questions can help draw our hearts back to Him. Join us as we explore the questions that can lead us back to God.

  11. 87

    Trusting God's Purpose

The Bible shows real people who endured trials yet remained faithful by keeping their eyes on the Lord, and God brought them through. In the same way, our lives will hold both good and difficult days, but God leads us through each one when we keep Him before us. Walking by faith begins with remembering that God may place us in challenging situations for His purposes, and in those seasons of testing we are called to lift our eyes to Him and trust His plan.

    Vision Sunday 2026

Each year, Wilton Bible Church sets aside a special Sunday to cast a vision for the year ahead. We call it Vision Sunday—also known as Theme Sunday—a time when our church family gathers with anticipation and purpose. Join us as we look back at last year’s theme and celebrate how the Lord has worked in our midst. Then together, we’ll look forward with faith, seeking where God is leading us in the coming year. Come ready to reflect, rejoice, and step into the next chapter...

    Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is more than food and tradition—it’s an invitation to gratitude. Paul writes: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances…” (1 Thess. 5:16–18, ESV) This holiday reminds us that giving thanks isn’t just seasonal—it’s God’s will for our everyday lives. Around the table or in trials, we’re called to live with joy, prayer, and gratitude in Christ.

  14. 84

The Obstacle to a Thankful Heart

Many things in this world can distract us from having a thankful heart. Yet God’s Word calls us to find reasons to give thanks in all circumstances. As we open Scripture together, we’ll discover how gratitude is not dependent on what surrounds us, but on the One who sustains us.

  15. 83

    He Alone is Faithful

As Psalm 33 draws to a close, we’re reminded of one unshakable truth: the steadfast love of the Lord surrounds those who trust in Him. His love is not momentary; it is faithful, enduring, and deeply personal. In a world full of uncertainty, this psalm invites us to rest in the God who sees our needs and holds our future. We don’t place our hope in strength or strategy, but in the One whose love never fails.

  16. 82

    He Alone Knows All

Come journey with us through the rich and reverent words of Psalm 33—a hymn that invites us to behold the majesty of God and the intimacy of his care. This psalm doesn’t just declare that God is powerful and sovereign; it reveals that he is personal and attentive. As we explore its verses, we’ll discover the profound truth that we are both fully known and deeply loved by the Lord.

  17. 81

    He Alone is Sovereign

Let’s be clear: no nation can force God to act according to its will, and no human being can stop his purposes from unfolding. God’s sovereignty is absolute. He is not subject to political powers, personal agendas, or human manipulation. He chooses freely, calls whom he wills, and accomplishes all that he intends. That means we cannot twist his arm or demand his favor—nor can we block his grace. I cannot force God’s hand, and neither can you. Yet in his mercy, God willingly chose to save us...

  18. 80

    He Alone is Creator

God alone is worthy of our praise—because God alone is Creator. By his word, he brought all things into being. His voice shaped the heavens, formed the earth, and filled creation with life. That same word still holds all things together. Join us as we explore Psalm 33!

  19. 79

    He Alone is Worthy

Psalm 33 is a hymn—a song of praise that invites the righteous to lift their voices in joyful worship. It’s not just a suggestion; it’s a summons. Those who walk in God’s ways are called to respond with heartfelt praise, because praising the Lord is right. But not all worship is equal. Scripture points us toward right worship—worship that is rooted in gratitude, shaped by thanksgiving, and centered on God himself. It’s not about performance or preference; it’s about posture.

  20. 78

    The Path of Forgiveness

Today we journey into the heart of grace, guided by the gift of forgiveness. David offers wisdom for those who seek to walk in godliness. Through his life experiences, we glimpse a way forward—one that leads us out of sorrow and sin, and into the peace and confidence found in trusting the Lord.

  21. 77

    The Joy of Forgiveness

Can we truly know we’re forgiven? David—and countless others throughout Scripture—experienced the blessing of God’s mercy and forgiveness. Because Christ bore the punishment for our sin, we can be confident in the promise of forgiveness. David urges us not to conceal our wrongdoing, but to bring it into the light, confessing it to a God who is both gracious and compassionate.

  22. 76

    From Trial to Trust

In the midst of life’s trials, it’s easy to question God’s character and goodness. Yet Psalm 31 offers a familiar and powerful journey—from hardship to hope, from struggle to steadfast trust in the Lord. Through David’s words, we’re reminded of four enduring truths that guide us from the valley of affliction to the refuge of faith.

Wilton Christian School Staff Dedication. It is an honor to serve as Pastor with a Christian School; while the ministry of private education is not without its challenges, it is a truly rewarding experience. In Second John, we observe a loving Shepherd encouraging Gaius to persevere in three key aspects of his life and ministry. John us as we consider the word of John this week.

  24. 74

Trust God in Times of Trouble

When despair threatens to overwhelm, we can take refuge in the One who hears our cries—our God who offers hope and deliverance. From David in the wilderness to Jesus in Gethsemane, Scripture is filled with men and women who anchored their faith in God through adversity. Their stories remind us that trust isn’t just for the mountaintop—it’s forged in the valley. Whether you're walking through a trial today or preparing for the storms ahead, know this: God is faithful.

  25. 73

    The Glory of the Cross

As Paul closes his letter to the Galatians, he sets aside the scribe’s pen and writes personally, emphasizing three enduring truths. These final verses carry doctrinal depth, a heartfelt warning, and a blessing for the church. With pastoral urgency and spiritual clarity, Paul leaves his readers with a call to remain anchored in grace. Join us as we unpack the closing chapter of Galatians and reflect on the truths that still shape the church today.

  26. 72

Sow What? The Principle of Sowing & Reaping

Paul has already done an excellent job of correcting flawed theology. He reminds us that salvation is not earned by keeping the law, but received through God’s grace and lived out by the power of the Holy Spirit. Having addressed theological errors, Paul now turns to challenge faulty thinking. If our aim is to live for God’s glory, Paul offers two timeless truths to guide us on that path.

  27. 71

Building Up the Church: Helping One Another

Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, that we are members of one unified body—the body of Christ. In this sacred fellowship, we share in each other's joys and bear one another's burdens. How should we bear one another in grace? Today, Paul encourages us to consider helping one another in love and humility.

  28. 70

    Future Glory

Today, we turn our hearts toward the future glory God has prepared for us—a promise as certain and joy-filled as a child anticipating gifts beneath the Christmas tree. Just as that child knows something wonderful awaits, we too can be confident in what lies ahead. One day, the rapture will take place. That day could be today, or perhaps in 2025, or sometime within our lifetime. Whenever it comes, it will mark the beginning of God's final plan and the unfolding of His glorious future.

  29. 69

    Live for God's Glory

Each of us will one day stand before God to give an account of our lives, and for Christians, that moment will reflect how we lived in devotion to Him. Every aspect of our lives—from our work ethic and daily habits to our choices in food, drink, and entertainment—is meant to honor and glorify the Lord. Our dedication is not merely about isolated acts of service, but about cultivating a lifestyle that consistently reflects God's presence and purpose.

    Ecclesiastes: What do You Value?

Today’s guest speaker is Jacob McCormick, a familiar face to many in our church family. Jacob grew up at Wilton Bible Church and is a proud graduate of Wilton Christian School. We're grateful to have him share with us, and we ask that you join in praying for Jacob as he seeks to follow God's will in the next steps of his journey.

The Transfiguration: A Glimpse of Future Glory

The Transfiguration of Jesus Christ offers a breathtaking glimpse into the glory of God's kingdom. It reveals not only Christ’s divine nature but also His mission—to take on flesh and bear our punishment so that we might become children of God. Through this moment, we’re reminded that one day we will be transformed and receive glorified bodies like His. The presence of Moses and Elijah highlights the promise of eternal fellowship, not only with one another but with the Lord Himself. Moses, who o

Bearing Fruit for His Glory - Part 3

Reflecting God’s glory begins with being united with Christ—our lives must be rooted and hidden in His. Before any fruit can be truly honoring to God, we must first belong to Him. For those unsure of their faith, hearing the gospel is the invitation to that life in Christ. And for believers, the call is to examine whether our lives bear good fruit: sharing the gospel, giving generously, offering praise, and living in ways that reflect Christ’s character. God is glorified when we intentionally st

Bearing Fruit for His Glory - Part 2

True spiritual fruit doesn’t come from human striving—it flows from abiding in Christ and being shaped by His Spirit. While the flesh produces what is natural to it—self-centeredness, discord, and pride—fruit that honors God is born out of Christlikeness and a Spirit-led life. Galatians 5:22–23 reveals the hallmarks of this divine fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities reflect God’s nature and are the result of His trans

    God's Glorious Grace

God is supremely worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. As we reflect on His glorious grace this morning, we’re reminded of His loving initiative: He chose us, adopted us, and blessed us in Christ. Through Christ’s redeeming work, our sins are forgiven and our debt has been paid in full. Even more, the Holy Spirit has been given to us as a guarantee of our future inheritance—a seal that confirms we belong to God. Our salvation isn’t secured by our efforts but by God’s unshakable promise. In Chr

The Glory of God in the Church

The mystery of the Church reveals a profound and awe-inspiring truth: through Christ, Jews and Gentiles are no longer separate but united as one family in the body of Christ. This divine reconciliation ushers all believers into a shared spiritual inheritance and purpose. By being baptized with the Holy Spirit, we are given the privilege to bring glory to God, not just through our identity but through our daily walk. God is glorified when we entrust Him with our future, cultivate Spirit-filled li

Grace and Truth in Christ - Part 2

Moses had a remarkable place in God’s story under the Old Covenant, but what we have in Christ is far greater. While Moses lived under the law, Christ lived under it in our place and broke the bondage of sin and legalism once and for all. In Christ, we are being transformed from the inside out—not by external regulations but through the renewing power of His Spirit. We now carry the message of reconciliation, the very news the world longs to hear, and we’ve been entrusted with a ministry that br

    Grace and Truth in Christ

As Christians, we are called to follow Jesus Christ. It is right and good for us to reflect on how He lived for God's glory. While we cannot perfectly imitate Him in this life, we can strive to walk in His footsteps and follow His example. Today we will explore how Jesus lived for God's glory as he walked in the footsteps of man.

  38. 60

    God's Glory through His Sovereignty

In Romans 9, Paul tackles a profound question: Has God abandoned His promises to Israel? He raises this concern because, in his time, many Jews were blending Judaism with Christianity rather than embracing Christ through faith alone. Paul responds by emphasizing God’s absolute sovereignty, urging believers to trust in His divine will and the ways in which He exercises His authority.

  39. 59

    Following God

Israel followed a cloud by day and fire by night as they navigated the wilderness. We might be tempted to wish following God’s will was like following a GPS. However, the Bible says we have everything we need to follow the Lord but it isn't through a cloud or by fire… and its not through a GPS.

    Glorifying God Through Instruction

Today, we explore Paul’s uplifting message to the believers in Rome—a well-taught community who embraced the Christian way of life. As you grow under the guidance of God’s Word, let these three principles be evident in your own life.

    Moses on Mount Sinai

Today, we explore an extraordinary moment in the life of Moses, when he was given the privilege of witnessing God’s glory and lived to recount the experience. Through this encounter, Moses discovered profound truths about God: His mercy, grace, patience, and unwavering love for those who honor Him. As Christians, we too are promised the chance to behold God’s glory one day. We will not shrink back in fear, for God has graciously welcomed us into Heaven, just as He welcomed Moses on Mount Sinai.
