Winchester Now

On this week’s Winchester Now: we went along to the unveiling of detailed plans for Phase One of the Central Winchester Regeneration Project, and spoke to the developer, Jigsaw by Partnership and Places, and asked people’s reactions; and we learn more about a Wildfire, Christian youth charity marking its 10th year of supporting young people locally. Plus, we have further volunteering opportunities, and our regular news-In-brief and community shout-outs too.

On this week’s Winchester Now: as local amateur boxers prepared to step into the ring for a family-friendly Boxing Show on Saturday night, we went along to the public weigh-in last weekend to meet those involved in the upcoming bouts; we talk to one of the organisers of the Winchester Walking Weekend, which is taking place from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st June, offering a wide range of free and guided walks; and, with next Monday signalling the start of this year’s Volunteers’ Week, we let you know about some local charitable organisations who are currently seeking volunteers. Plus our usual round-up of local news-in-brief, and community shout-outs too.
