Wintry 6.0 Snow Angel - Part One Updated! Here it is Wintry 6.0! Worked all weekend on this mix, during the Snowmageddon of 2016 on the east coast. This mix is dedicated to my daughter Lana, I wrote the first track (a piano piece)for her. This mix should be more whimsical and light hearted than 5.0. Plenty of parts to dance with - Lana really loved dancing to much of it, and that light and love inspired it. For this mix I really wanted to feature many of the local people, and friends making amazing tracks as they influence me greatly. Lots of genre's here (Bands, Indie, D&B, House, Electronic, bass, glitch, etc), its all over the BPM so it was a fun challenge. I hope you enjoy!! “We are Forever” - Wintry 5.0 This wintry mix is dedicated to our friend Ian Graham who passed last year, but lives on forever through all of us that he showed friendship and love. Wintry mixes for me have always been about the beautiful music that inspire me from various producers throughout the year. This one in particular is special because the songs have specific meaning to moments in time shared with Ian. Its more of a full dedication to Ian specifically put together by title (just look at track list) and overall feel. Plus some tracks have a unique flavor with some 808’s and deep sounds that I know he would dig. Reinhold's: Wintry 4.0 - Beacon of Light Welcome to Wintry 4.0, I have been waiting to share this one with you. This mix in particular is pretty unique overall even for a Wintry mix - It feels very Aphex Twin influenced to me. I worked on this while it was snowing and then later into the cold winter night. So it feels like there are two parts to me that are separated by Mr. Jennings track. The mix is as usual a soundscape of beautiful tracks and amazing producers. REINHOLD - Kinda Wintry Mix 2.0 So here is my official Kinda Wintry Mix 2.0 . We didn't really see much of a winter here in Richmond, but got dusted around Feb. 19th. So I set out to finish a second Wintry mix since a lot of people liked the 2010 Wintry Mix. Once again this mix has extremely beautiful tracks from some of my favorite producers. Often these tracks don't get played out except for very unique events and special sets. There are some real "chill bangers" here... haha This ended up being a difficult mix for me because of all the key changes and tempo changes, but I worked at it and this is the final edit. Playing through a whole mix thats over 1:30 minutes long can be tough but rewarding. I hope you like this mix, its very emotional and probably more like a soundtrack than a Dj mix. Live set from Richmond, VA Recoded Live at WRIR 2009 wrir.org/ (Richmond Independent Radio) #PLFRVA WINTRY MIX - 2 hour set This has a lot of my favorite, and most beautiful tracks that I don't get a chance to play out often. For this mix I had to travel in the snow to get to the WRIR studio, and much of Richmond and the east coast was in a blanket of snow and ice. I think watching the falling snow earlier that morning effected me, making a big impact on the track selection. In this mix I move through many styles of music I enjoy, much of it is chill and good music by a fire. Of course I added a personal touch of some of my favorite musicians into this mix (NIN, Tomahawk, Aphex Twin). I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I enjoyed playing it ....
