Time to continue our mini series about “Broadway Hit’s That Got Us Into the Theater”. We gave you the overtures and now we’re dropping the needle on the first number in each of the 12 top shows from the 60’s. We’re spinning fun hits from “Camelot”, “Hello Dolly”, “The Fantastics”, “Bye Bye Birdie” and 8 more!

It was a potpourri Wednesday on the program with topics ranging from the birthday of the first American “Bond Girl”, Jill St. John to Veto Day at the New Hampshire Statehouse to a new golf facility coming to Concord.

Melissa Grenier of the Alzheimer's Association in Bedford stops by to chat with Katelyn about the services they provide including both Alzheimers and Dementia care, research, and advocacy,

Chin-Sim Kang of Drops to Wellness returns to talk with Veronica more about her business and they talk more about essential oils and their uses.

Today Jane has a wonderful discussion with the new principle of Bishop Brady, Dr. Benjamin Horton. They discuss the upcoming programs, the schools history, and much more!

Tuesday’s show featured a tutorial on the new “Blast” microphone from our correspondent John Leahy. We used the new device to simulcast today’s program on the You Tube and Twitch platforms as well as John’s social media sites. John also serenaded us with a couple of favorites on his ukulele.

The 60’s were deeply influenced by the Gospels and the Bible. Thinks songs like “Turn, Turn, Turn” and “People Get Ready” and “Oh Happy Day”. And so it’s time to check out songs from the 60’s that were flavored by the spirituals (and there were many). Some of the artists you’ll hear from are: The Edwin Hawkins Singers, Peter Paul & Mary, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley.

Monday featured our monthly segment with Christian Troy of Woodpecker Insurance of Concord. Christian provided some great advice on some possible changes in Medicare but assured us that “Part D” which is the prescription drug element of Medicare is NOT going away. Veto Day at the New Hampshire State House will be August 18th, NH Rep. Buzz Scherr talks about NH HB1422 (relative to the time to petition for a new trial), a bipartisan bill. Also, we discuss how the Granite State is uniquely prepared to prevent utilization of Flock Safety's cameras.

We here at NH Unscripted can never say enough good things, nor can we stop bragging, about "The Players Ring" in Portsmouth and so we asked Margherita Giacobbi, the executive director, to come by and extol it’s many virtues. Currently, over eighty girls and teens are enrolled and they come from thirty-two towns throughout the Lakes Region.”

Wednesday’s program featured an hour of sports and musical chatter with New Hampshire native and long time radio personality Jim Colony. After leaving Granite State radio, Jim went on to work in Boston and Pittsburgh and today made his triumphant return to the New Hampshire airwaves.

It was a Fisher Cats/Baseball Thursday on the program as we had ‘Cats broadcaster Chris Jared with us to discuss all the roster changes the FisherCats have had to make following some transactions by their parent club, the Toronto Blue Jays. WKXL’s Ray Dudley joined us in studio to talk about the remarkable turnaround for the Boston Red Sox who have currently won 30 of their last 35 games.

Wednesday’s show featured three outstanding local musicians, Jarrod Willams, Eddie Raczka and Dr. Harp (Dennis Martin). All will be part of the 12th Annual Blues Festival on Saturday, August 22 from noon-4 at Londonderry Common to benefit the Hooksett American Legion Riders.

It was a Sports Monday on the program with correspondent John Leahy discussing the amazing, unprecedented mid-season turn around for the Boston Red Sox. We also debated if the Sox would make a deal prior to this evening’s 6 PM Major League Baseball trading deadline.

Taylor highlighted next week’s homestand at Delta Dental Stadium with the Portland Sea Dogs and the first “Purr at the Park” night when fans are encouraged to bring their cats to the game to see the Cats play the Dogs. WKXL’s Ray Dudley joined us in studio to preview his upcoming shows and talk about chili dogs and French fries among other topics.

Some things in life just amaze me. And when that thing is a self-less act that fact just amplifies my amazement. Todays guest, Dr. Marc Bard and his organization “Paintings for a Purpose” are a living example of what I’m talking about. He paints, then sells the paintings and then gives away ALL of the money from the sales. ALL of it! "100% of our sales revenue is donated…"  His paintings are whimsical, sometimes touching watercolors that are snapshots of life in NH. A wonderful conversation with a local hero (my words not his).

We’ve reached mid-summer and Wednesday’s program, co-hosted by Emily Gagnon, brings back some wonderful summertime music from a variety of genres and decades. Enjoy a wonderful summer sound sensation!

Tuesday’s show featured our monthly visit with the New Hampshire Department of Safety as we welcomed Director John Marasco and Deputy Director Melissa Riley to the program to discuss a new CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Facility in Bethlehem and the implementation of the Blue Envelope Program which aids those who have been diagnosed with autism or a trauma or stress-related disorder. Also joining us was Concord Lions Club President Tracy Pierce. The Lions Club is currently working on “Ready, Set, Move Capital Region”, a project that will provide sneakers for approximately 375 second grade students in Concord and Bow.
