First Sip: Why a Work Comp Nurse (and Company Owner) is Pouring Wine and Truth About the System
Welcome to the very first sip of Work Comp over Wine – the podcast where we talk about the real side of workers’ compensation… with a glass of something good in hand. I’m Patricia, a registered nurse with over 35 years in workers’ comp case management. I own a national case management company, and I’ve seen every twist and turn this system throws at injured workers, their families, claims adjusters, and us case managers. If you’ve ever felt like the workers’ comp world forgets the actual human at the center of it all… you’re in the right place. Every episode we’ll cut through the jargon, share real stories from the field, and talk about what actually works (and what definitely doesn’t) to help people heal and get back to life. In this opening episode, I’m pouring out why I started the show, a little about my own journey from bedside nursing to running a national company, and what you can expect going forward — from the biggest frustrations injured workers face to simple mindset shifts that keep case managers from burning out. Grab a seat (and maybe a glass). New episodes drop every other week. If this resonates, hit subscribe, leave a review, and share it with a coworker or client. The more we reach, the better we can make this system — for everyone. Cheers to better outcomes and a little wine-fueled wisdom along the way.
