Dans cet épisode, je reçois Annabelle Roberts.Annabelle grandit en Alberta, "le Texas Canadien" au sein d'une famille ou elle est l'aînée de 10 enfants et qui suit les préceptes de la communauté Mormone. Isolée de tout, elle doit faire plus de 200 kilomètres pour rejoindre l'hypermarché le plus proche.Elevée au sein d'une famille qui suit des principes sectaires, elle a accès à une éducation restreinte puisque l'accès aux livres ou aux films est par exemple soumis à l'approbation de la communauté...Alors quand Annabelle découvre Internet, autant vous dire qu'elle découvre un monde dont elle ignorait tout jusqu'alors.À 16 ans, elle fuit et prend un car pour traverser le Canada. Elle travaille comme caissière de supermarché jusqu'à son bac.Elle intègrera une école de journalisme puis suit son fiancé de l'époque et part vivre en France. En arrivant à Paris elle vit un véritable émerveillement ! 🤩Annabelle devient d'abord professeur d'anglais pour le personnel des hôtels et palaces 5 étoiles mais aussi pour une clientèle un peu moins officielle... ! 😅Tout au long de son parcours, Annabelle a su provoquer les opportunités et se battre pour sa liberté. Elle s'extirpe notamment d'une situation professionnelle ou son patron de l'époque la courtise de manière abusive jusqu'au harcèlement. C'est d'ailleurs pour celà qu'elle créera sa propre entreprise afin d'être la patronne qu'elle aurait aimé avoir et pour créer ses propres conditions de travail et un environnement sécurisé 🙌Nous parlons de son entreprise "Present Perfect" et de comment elle a su la faire renaître avec son associée durant la crise du Covid alors qu'elle perdait près de 90% de son chiffre d'affaire en l'espace de 3 semaines.Nous avons également abordé le sujet du "self branding" ou marketing de soi et de pourquoi les femmes ont généralement tant de mal à le faire. Annabelle nous propose une vision des choses tout à fait nouvelle et nous explique pourquoi il est de notre responsabilité de nous emparer de ce sujet et de nous comporter comme notre propre agent ! 😎Nous avons aussi parlé des échecs, des fameux "fails" que nous connaissons toutes et qu'Annabelle a remarquablement appris à apprivoiser avec une technique très précise.
