ANDY BAAR WIRD ÄLTER… ABER Die BÄSSE BLEIBEN JUNG! Am 30.05. wird bei Evosonic nicht einfach nur Radio gemacht… nein, es wird eskaliert – natürlich stilvoll im 4/4-Takt! Denn niemand Geringeres als Andy Baar feiert LIVE ON AIR seinen Geburtstag auf evosonic.de! Alles begann 1993 auf dem legendären Düsseldorf Unionrave. Während andere noch überlegten, was sie am Wochenende machen, wusste Andy sofort: „Das ist mein Ding!“ Kurz darauf tauschte er Tanzfläche gegen Turntables und legte ab 1996 Clubs auseinander wie das Index Weilerswist, Atomic Club Cologne, Warehouse Köln, Empire Neuss, Nachtwerk Bonn und viele mehr. 1997 kam dann die große Liebe: Evosonic Radio Köln. Damals Europas einzige 24/7-Adresse für elektronische Musik – und für Andy schnell das zweite Zuhause. Zwischen „Evopool-Update“, seiner legendären Afterhour-Show „Sleep Disorder“ und unzähligen Stunden On Air entwickelte sich der typische groovige Andy-Baar-Sound, der bis heute zuverlässig jedes Wohnzimmer in einen Club verwandelt. Und weil normale Menschen nicht einfach mal eben für ein Radio umziehen, zog Andy damals sogar mit Evosonic nach München. Komplett verrückt? Vielleicht. Komplett legendär? Definitiv. Highlights? Působila sebevědomě, uvnitř si ale nevěřila. Cestovatelka a fotografka Martina Merisi strávila roky v korporátu, než ve svých 38 letech udělala rozhodnutí, které jí převrátilo život vzhůru nohama. Po rozchodu s dlouhletým partnerem a výpovědi se sama vydala na 840 kilometrů dlouhou pouť přes Pyreneje. V novém díle Blesk Podcastu promluvila o strachu, nejistotě i o tom, proč nikdy není pozdě začít znovu.

Andy Baar's first contact with electronic Dancemusic was in 1993 @ Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he'd knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Partys with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs like the Index@Weilerswist, Atomic Club Cologne, Katakomben/Königsburg @Krefeld, Hot Sommer Open Air, Warehouse Cologne, Empire Club Neuss, Wicked Club Königswinter, Nachtwerk Bonn and the Flashback in Bonn/Weilerswist. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident Dj at Evosonic Radio Cologne, back in the days it was the only Broadcast around Europe with 24/7 hours of nonstop electronic Music. From the first day to it's last Evosonic Radio was his second home and let him find the groovy, 4/4-style that he still hast today. Starting with the Show”Evopool-update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own show called “Sleep Disorder”, which played on Saturday mornings Afterhour time from 05:00 am up to eleven o'clock . One day Evosonic Radio moved to Munich. Andy was the first of Cologne's Radio staff, that was mad enough to follow them and moved there also and became part of the daily radio program. Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his Door with the possibility of having an online Broadcast@ the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radoio. Since the he used this way for bradcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” for letting old and new fans have the typical Andy Baar-Sound again.

Zwei verfressene kleine Frettchen haben es sich in einem geheimen Keller in Köln fein eingerichtet, weitab vom trubeligen Stadtleben. Die Wände vibrierten von schweren Bässen, während sie mit verschmitztem Grinsen ihre Platten auflegten. Es roch nach frischem Brötchen und Frikadellen, gemischt mit einer leichten Prise Neonlicht, das durch den kleinen Spalt vor dem Fenster schien. „Leck mich am Beat“, rief der eine, seine Hände flogen über die Plattenteller, als der sycnhronisierte Track aus funky Basslines sich mit schnellem, scharfem Techno verbandt. Der andere nickte, stürzte sich in die Lounge-Ecke, holte eine Tüte Chips heraus und knusperte genüsslich zwischen den Tracks. Die Musik baute sich zu einer dichten, fast greifbaren Atmosphäre auf, in der jedes Riff, jeder Kickdrum-Schlag und jedes schimmernde Hochton-Ende wie ein wärmendes Flüstern klang. Sie ließen sich von der Energie treiben, mischten Samples mit eigenem Flair und ließen den Raum in eine eigene Klangwelt schmelzen, die Köln in dieser geheimen Nacht zu einem Zentrum des Sounds machte. Am Ende lehnte sich einer zurück, zufrieden: „Das war mehr als nur Auflegen. Das war ein Fest für den Magen – und für die Ohren.“ Der andere grinste: „Genau das wollten wir erreichen.“ Dann schwiegen sie einen Moment, bis der nächste Track wieder den Raum füllte ..... :-)
