Andy Baar's first contact with electronic Dancemusic was in 1993 @ Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he'd knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Partys with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs like the Index@Weilerswist, Atomic Club Cologne, Katakomben/Königsburg @Krefeld, Hot Sommer Open Air, Warehouse Cologne, Empire Club Neuss, Wicked Club Königswinter, Nachtwerk Bonn and the Flashback in Bonn/Weilerswist. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident Dj at Evosonic Radio Cologne, back in the days it was the only Broadcast around Europe with 24/7 hours of nonstop electronic Music. From the first day to it's last Evosonic Radio was his second home and let him find the groovy, 4/4-style that he still hast today. Starting with the Show”Evopool-update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own show called “Sleep Disorder”, which played on Saturday mornings Afterhour time from 05:00 am up to eleven o'clock . One day Evosonic Radio moved to Munich. Andy was the first of Cologne's Radio staff, that was mad enough to follow them and moved there also and became part of the daily radio program. Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his Door with the possibility of having an online Broadcast@ the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radoio. Since the he used this way for bradcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” for letting old and new fans have the typical Andy Baar-Sound again.

Zwei verfressene kleine Frettchen haben es sich in einem geheimen Keller in Köln fein eingerichtet, weitab vom trubeligen Stadtleben. Die Wände vibrierten von schweren Bässen, während sie mit verschmitztem Grinsen ihre Platten auflegten. Es roch nach frischem Brötchen und Frikadellen, gemischt mit einer leichten Prise Neonlicht, das durch den kleinen Spalt vor dem Fenster schien. „Leck mich am Beat“, rief der eine, seine Hände flogen über die Plattenteller, als der sycnhronisierte Track aus funky Basslines sich mit schnellem, scharfem Techno verbandt. Der andere nickte, stürzte sich in die Lounge-Ecke, holte eine Tüte Chips heraus und knusperte genüsslich zwischen den Tracks. Die Musik baute sich zu einer dichten, fast greifbaren Atmosphäre auf, in der jedes Riff, jeder Kickdrum-Schlag und jedes schimmernde Hochton-Ende wie ein wärmendes Flüstern klang. Sie ließen sich von der Energie treiben, mischten Samples mit eigenem Flair und ließen den Raum in eine eigene Klangwelt schmelzen, die Köln in dieser geheimen Nacht zu einem Zentrum des Sounds machte. Am Ende lehnte sich einer zurück, zufrieden: „Das war mehr als nur Auflegen. Das war ein Fest für den Magen – und für die Ohren.“ Der andere grinste: „Genau das wollten wir erreichen.“ Dann schwiegen sie einen Moment, bis der nächste Track wieder den Raum füllte ..... :-)

Ich weiß garnicht womit ich anfangen soll ? In den letzten Jahren habe ich so viele Menschen verloren die mir am Herzen gelegen haben, die ich geliebt habe , Vater ,Bruder , der beste Freund. Bekannte,Freunde einfach Menschen die mir etwas bedeutet haben. Ich hatte eigentlich gedacht irgendwann muss das doch aufhören, aber ich bin zu der Erkentniss gekommen das diese Dinge einfach zum Leben dazu gehören und das das leider, leider zum Leben dazu gehört :( Wir werden geboren und irgendwann sterben wir. Das ist Fakt, Alle. Unwiderruflich und für niemanden auf der Welt lässt sich das aufhalten oder umkehren. Gestern habe ich mit entsetzen erfahren, das es wieder einen Menschen aus meinem näheren Umfeld erwischt hat. Liebe Cordula (Peter Schmiedel) : ich bin so unendlich traurig das es dich erwischt hat. Wir haben uns in den 90zigern kennen gelernt. Aus eurer Begeisterung zu meiner Musik ist eine tiefe Freundschaft endstanden. Ich habe euch bei eurem Abenteuer in Portugal besucht und wir haben soviele schöne Momente zusammen erlebt. Auch später als ihr zurück nach Deutschland gekommen seid und in Köln eure Heimat gefunden habt sind wir immer wieder miteinander "connected" gewesen und haben uns unsere gegenseitige Wertschätzung spüren lassen. Du bist so ein loyaler , gutherziger Mensch gewesen , den man einfach nur mögen und Wertschätzen mochte. Umso schlimmer ist es für mich dir für immer Good Bye zu sagen, dir zu sagen: Danke für deine Freundschaft und Loyalität. Es tut mir so unendlich Leid für deinen Partner Peter und deinen Sohn Tim. Ein Partner der gleichzeitig sein Seelenverwandter gewesen ist und ein Kind was einfach seinen Vater und seine Mutter braucht, ist einfach durch nichts zu ersetzen. Ich habe versucht unsere " Reise " die wir gemeinsam zusammen gegangen sind nochmal durch Musik, die uns zusammen gebracht hat und immer verbunden hat auszudrücken. Verzeih mir bitte , wenn mir das nicht bis ins 100% Detail gelungen ist ,ich glaube ich habe wirklich schon bessere harmonischere Mixe gemacht, aber das ganze hat mich sehr mitgnommen und emotionall getroffen, ich habe es trotzdem versucht ;) Ich hoffe du hörst da oben den Soundtrack deines Lebens :) Lieber Peter, lieber Tim , liebe Angehörigen. Ich möchte euch mein tieftes Beileid zu eurem Verlust ausprechen , wünsche euch viel Kraft in diesen dunklen schweren Zeiten, durch die ihr geht. Es tut mir wirklich sehr sehr Leid, ich teile euren Schmerz, weil ich nur alzu gut weiß was es bedeutet einen geliebten Menschen zu verlieren. Rest in Peace liebe Cordula, du wirst für immer in unseren Herzen weiter Leben. Danke das ich ein Teil deines Leben seien durfte.
