Jesus raises from the dead.

Jesus enters Jerusalem as king, but not like an earthly king. He comes in humility. He comes to serve. He comes to die.

Jesus came to heal those broken by sin.

There is nothing more important than going to Jesus to receive from him the blessing and gifts that he offers. What a privilege to set down our daily tasks and sit with Mary at Jesus feet.

Jesus is going to Jerusalem to die. As he cleansed the lepers of their unclean status so he cleanses us from our sin through his death.

Nothing anyone has ever done to us is as bad as the sins we commit against God. Yet God has forgiven us all. We also ought to forgive one another.

Jesus teaches us to think what more can I do rather than do I have to.

Christ is true God and the only way to the Father

Jesus gives the people bread just as Moses did. The purpose was so that they would recognize Him as the one foretold and would look to Him to be saved.

God fulfills His promise as Jesus is born in Bethlehem.

The story of Ruth is the account of a woman of great faith. Her faith is like the faith of Abraham and Rebekah. They both left their land and their family in order to receive instead the covenant of Yahweh. So also by faith Ruth leaves family and home and follows Naomi for the sake

God uses everything even Samson’s sin for the good of God’s people. Samson reminds us of Christ in that he dies to deliver his people.

Samson is sent to save God’s people, yet Samson has no wish to accomplish what God wants. God’s will is done anyway.

By the strength of the Lord my enemies are cut down before me. Victory belongs to the Lord and not to me. When we relay on our own strength we lose. When we trust in the Lord he gives us the victory through Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever

God knows how to save the repentant and bring judgement on the impenitent. We should take the lesson of Jericho to heart and put our trust in God. We out to trust in him and not rely on anything of this earth to keep us safe. We are children of the heavenly Father.

Man chooses not to trust God word and falls into sin. God bears the consequences of man’s sin and promises to save us.
