Welcome back to the You Are My Destiny Radio Show, with your hosts Luca and Claudette. Today is a special one — and an emotional one — because we have a guest whose name has been woven through every chapter of this story: Claes Cornelius. If you know the modern history of music that crossed borders, you know Claes. As co-founder of Mega Records in Copenhagen, he was the man who championed Ace of Base and helped carry Scandinavian pop to the world. He's the ear behind D-A-D, the Danish rock band he helped discover — the band that broke out internationally with "Sleeping My Day Away," their biggest single outside Denmark and a two-week resident on the UK top 100. Careers, catalogs, whole sounds — Claes has had a hand in shaping them. But for us, this goes deeper. Luca first met Claes in 1995, and that meeting changed the course of a life — a friendship and a mentorship that eventually brought Claes into the Zanna Records family. And today we get to share something extraordinary: back in February of 2025, Claes sent a series of emails with a prediction. He told us to take "You Are My Destiny" to the radio stations. He forecast it would be a hit. On today's show, we talk about that forecast — and everything that's happened since. We also want to say, with full hearts: it is a gift to have Claes here at all.
