Dear Soul,Happy Spring Equinox! What a time to be alive and open to adventure!I am always fascinated by each new place I am brought to. Each city. Every home. The environment. Every one holds unique energies. Messages. Healings. Elevations of spirit and soul. My latest move has me in a ‘9’ home (symbolizing completions). The street ‘Outer Banks’ is symbolic of the far reaches (of self). And, you know what I discovered? My community was built within a quarry. My immediate first thought was… what is taken from the source and made individual; and then used for a greater purpose. We are all from the Great One Design, individualized and utilized for a specific purpose; and given the exact people, places and things to do so. Spiritually, a quarry symbolizes resilience and inner strength. It represents overcoming obstacles and emerging stronger. It calls for individuals to connect with inner talents, gifts, and resources; to face life's challenges with determination.It is important to remember that we came for ‘mastery’. This means that we are continually called to expand, discover, and embody more capability and creativity. It also means learning how to continually embody joy, peace and presence regardless of what appears. Mining is rhythmic, drilling within the same place other than reach the core. We must continually mine for Essence.Just as stones are carefully selected and shaped for a specific purpose, we are each chosen and molded. The Christian Bible states in 1 Peter 2:5, "living stones" being built into a spiritual house. In other spiritual traditions, quarries are seen as sacred sites that connect the physical and spiritual realms; the mining and merging of human to soul.Life’s divine orchestration brings all separate parts together for the purposes. You might be saying, ‘What does that have to do with me? I don’t live in a quarry.’ True, but we all are given opportunity to live in the ‘inquiry’ which has the same spiritual significance, power, and symbolism of a ‘quarry’.Within a quarry/inquiry lay the potential for transformation and renewal, where raw materials are extracted and shaped into something beautiful, or of greater worth. This mirrors the spiritual journey. Our gifts are within our earthen ground. Talents exist within you that you never knew you had. They are to be mined, discovered, shaped and shared. Life supports by shaping and molding us through experience so that the refining of character and purpose takes place. Spiritually, a quarry/inquiry points to the uncovering of one's true self, connecting with Essence, and undergoing transformative experiences that ultimately connect us with divine nature. This kind of transformation is possible when continually opening to life’s cycles of birth, death and rebirth… in other words moving from home to home… or identification to identification... identity to identity. Spiritual rebirth requires letting go of each iteration, culling the rich nuggets from which to build something magnificent and unknown. But, this means we must be willing to dig far beneath the surface of things… of ourselves… of our wants… and our personal wills. It requires an even greater mining of self, and self-reflection, for newfound strength and clarity. It is necessary to not cling to anything, but to truly see ourselves as ‘unlimited’.Homes play a major role in shaping this awakening. The Law of Attraction is at work in bringing each space and place. You are always brought into places that match your field. You and the place come together to create healing. For you. For the home. For the history that rests there. Your relationship within that place will tell you something about the relationship to yourself.The light of a place holds the leaden weight of our darkness.Regard your home(s) patience. With care. With reverence. With sacredness. They are hospitals, and places of hospitality. They are where you heal, and reveal. To reconcile the darkness and light of a place ripples healing through space and time. Therein is balance. The darkness of a place holds the radiating ember of our light. Never rush to leave any place. The frenzy, agitation, or boredom that arrises to leave a place is the symbol that you are on the verge of healing something for yourself and the home. The longing, wanting, or needing to be elsewhere are how you may be running from yourself. Stay present to where you are. Let the space heal you, as you heal it. You will know when you are complete because there will be neutrality, tremendous gratitude, and joy. Enjoy this episode of ‘You are the Journey’… I share some amazing experiences within past homes. These are mystical moments that prove we are not alone… that time is an illusion… and there is no separation. This home… this quarry… is calling me to more of myself… more creative expression and greater service. Dear Soul,In the ‘essence of breath’, we return to the present moment. Each experience, regardless of time or place… past or present… exists in purity. Only when in pure awareness, do all things dissolve. All things resolve. To find a place of presence ‘as awareness’, drop any semblance of ‘I’ and unite with ‘ALL’. This meditation is an invitation to deepen into your eternal self. By deepening. By expanding. By breathing. By remembering. Take off your shoes. Get comfortable. Sit or lay back. Do You Love Yourself Enough… to see yourself… and to see others… as equal? In a time where everyone wants to be ‘identified’ as unique, rather than simply owning and embodying their uniqueness with such divine confidence that it is a natural way of being… we must take a good hard look at how we are being. This ‘Being’ expression is beyond ‘what’ we do, ‘who’ we are, our ‘name’, ‘face’, or ‘product/expertise’. It is necessary to see one another as equal highly valuable expression, experience and example. With the ease to which we point fingers at the other, it is necessary to find what we judge on the outside, within ourselves instead. In doing so, compassion and acceptance grows; and we grow. It really is not about the other person, or trying to change them. This does not condone any negative, dishonest or violent action, however it does allow us to understand how or why that behavior may have come about within that individual or experience. We are human, all capable of every emotion, expression and creation. Our work lay in learning how to become neutral. This occurs through self-examination, self-ownership and self-activation. When doing so, we no longer unconsciously create interference that further exacerbates the issues. Can we see the world as a mirror that serves our self-awareness? Through such heightened perception, the ‘villain’ becomes our savior. In that, the ‘angel’ does as well. Dear Soulmate,What kept stirring this past week was a sense of circular movement. Round and round we go. And then the words entered, ‘before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water’. This is true, and… I feel that to know divine love, we have to first know ourselves. We must be willing to immerse into all of the cracks and crevices. We have to be willing to let it all in and let it all go; and by that I mean absorb it back into ourselves to be brought home. Embraced fully.I've always been fascinated by Dante's Inferno. And when I think about purgatory, I have seen that this place exists 's right here. We have that experience here; especially when living from identity. Paradiso… also exists here, but are we fully opening to it? Life is a dance… a romance… a relationship.I hope you sit in a soft place, with a warm fuzzy blanket. Knees curled beneath you. Heart full. Wide open… perhaps, even split open; to see and to feel. I need to go back; back to the beginning. Where it all began.In my beginning, 25 years ago, I had a blog titled, Beyond the Illusion. It was a bridge between my life in the fashion world and what would become a new life in the inspirational, spiritual and self-help arenas. That blog, helped me find my voice. Over the last fifteen years, I have slowly lost that aspect of my voice. I want to find it again… to remember. So here we are. I felt called to recreate Beyond the Illusion here as a Substack newsletter publication. I have discovered so much in the past 25 years that I cannot wait to share with you.A lot of change has occurred since this past September. I must simplify and bring everything together, in a more comprehensive, simple way. I contemplated how to do that. I wondered how I might expand connection, deepen humanity, and raise levels of joy, fulfillment and creativity. I taking this step-by-step; moving slowly and gently. So, I hope you will be patient with me, as I relearn intimacy, vulnerability and that it’s safe to share ‘me’. I am extending my heart and hand. Please, take hold. Let’s explore new levels of heartfelt, soulful, beautiful beingness. In this space, I will bridge my higher wisdom and human experience and in a way, that hopefully, opens greater insights for you… about your life, experiences, and expression. I also felt to begin a new podcast; a second podcast different than my longstanding, interview based, personal growth show, 11:11 Talk Radio. YOU are the Journey is a more intimate podcast that expands on how life, and our world, is speaking to us; through signs, symbols and synchronicities. It is a sacred space for me to illustrate through my life examples the connections, dots, ripples and cycles that our lives hold; things hiding in plain sight. I am just beginning this; but today, I completed my show intro. So I am sharing it with you as a beginning step. I hope you like it. I’ll release a new episode every Thursday, beginning next week, on January 9th. The first episode is titled Setting an Intention, and through it we will set the energetic intention for expansion, alignment and higher octave living, being and knowing.
