ELIMINATORS are a straight edge band from the Bay Area who started in 2025 and have put out a demo and an EP. Ace Stallings (MAD, Break Away, RNGR Presents, Forum of Passion) fronts the band and he joined the radio show for an interview. We talked Eliminators, straight edge, RBS Fest, the importance of DIY in booking shows and honking history with Richmond VA hardcore. This is the interview portion of a one hour radio show done on 4/25/2026.

FLATLINE is a band that started in 2025 with all members under 20 years old. I had Daniel and Gabe on the show and we talked everything Flatline, 805 hardcore, the radio, moshing and much more. Check out their demo available on all streaming platforms.

Corrective Measure is a hardcore band from Maine that started back in 2015 and was active for awhile before returning with a new record and playing shows again in 2024. Vocalist Braden joined the radio show and we talked Maine HC, everything Corrective Measure and much more.

AFTERTHOUGHT is a band from Tampa Florida that put out a demo and an EP this year with Armageddon Records. They’ve played a ton of shows this year and have much planned for 2026. I had Danny, Dev and D’Angelo on the show and we talked Tampa, Tampa sports, Afterthought origin, the radio, California and much more.

Matteo who runs Naughty Pelican Media and plays in the Bay Area straight edge band Stand Tall joined the show and we talked Stand Tall, touring the US, Santa Cruz, the radio, Sublime and much more.

OVERTHROW is a band from Long Island, NY who was active in the mid to late 90s with a few shows over the years since. They recently put out a new record Setting the Price, and Mike and Chris joined the radio show to talk everything Overthrow, LIHC, Setting the Price and much more.

VTB is a band from Ventura, CA who just released a new EP People Died and Things Exploded. The whole band joined the show and we talked the new record, playing hardcore bills, rotting gold music video, no jumper and much more.

Wes from Death Threat joined the radio show for an interview and we talked For God and Government and Now Here Fast first ever vinyl pressings, late 90s Connecticut hardcore, tattooing, California, touring Europe with Agnostic Front & The Distillers and much more.

Disillusion is a band from Oxnard featuring members of Torena, Detach and Bare Minimum, releasing their initial EP in 2024 and been playing shows since. I had Angel and David on the show to talk Disillusion, the VCHC scene, Oasis and much more.

Guitarist Mike Shaw of Fatal Realm and Mindforce joined the radio show and we talked the Hudson Valley, 1 year of Fatal Realm, personal guitar background, Fatal Realm demo and much more.

ALLEGIANCE is a straight band from San Francisco and surrounding areas that spanned from 2002-2008. They were a hugeu part of the Rivalry Records era and toured the world and the US many times with bands like Ceremony and Down to Nothing. They played the RBS preshow at Gilman this past April . I had Duane and Ross from the band for a radio interview and we talked Allegiance origin, Rivalry Records, San Francisco, early 2000s hc, baseball and much more.

WRECKING UNIT is a new band from LA reviving the Lockin Out sound we all love. Kevin does vocals in the band and joined the show for radio interview. We talked Vegas, Wrecking Unit demo and origin, the radio and much more.

Kat is a master of photography and art. She’s worked with artists like Janalle Monae and Jimmy Eat World, and she runs the Sound and Fury media team. She tours with bands working as a photographer and also does graphic design. PUNITIVE DAMAGE is a hardcore punk band from Vancouver BC. They just released an EP “Hate Training” on Convulse Records. I had the whole band on the show live from their Southeast tour and we talked Hate Training, Vancouver, Go It Alone, touring, band origin and more.

Breakneck Flow is band from Eugene, Oregon that formed in 2018. They have wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered and released an LP and EP since then. They have played tons of shows and toured the West Coast. I had three of the members on the radio for an interview and we talked Eugene, hc in Oregon, video games, the radio and everything Breakneck Flow.

CUTDOWN is a band from New Jersey who just put out a new record “To the Grave” on Scheme Records. I had Cutdown vocalist Avery on the show and we talked Sopranos, Dave Blunts, West Coast Tour, fast hardcore, Cutdown origin and more.

KONSPIRACY is a new band having just played their second show and put out a demo. This band is playing a sound for fans of Unified Right and hardcore punk that doesn't sound perfect. They also have linked with Enthusiasm for Ruin Zine to put out their demo on tape for EFR 001. I had the whole band call in live from their gig at Rapid Skateshop in Simi Valley, CA.

I had Adam from CMI back on the show to catch up with him about how crazy the band has taken off since our first interview a little over a year ago. Watch Your Fall is a new band from Ventura County who has already played over 15 shows and put out an EP in less than a year. I had front man Adam on the show and we talked metalcore, Burden of Being EP, food, gaming, WYF and much more.

Flyover Fest is a hardcore fest that has been running for awhile in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You might recognize it as Promcore which was the name it operated under for many years. This year the fest returns to Tulsa, bigger than ever, and with an insanely stacked lineup. James Carroll who is one of the two minds behind the fest joined YLIA to talk about this year's fest and much more.

End of Dayz is a band from Seattle, WA and they just put out one of the best records of 2024. FIELD OF FLAMES is a straight edge band from San Jose, CA. In the last few years the Bay Area hardcore scene has blown up and is recognized internationally, but Field of Flames has been doing since putting out their demo in 2017. Approaching the launch of YLIA on a new radio station I had my friend Nick (PD, In Time, Enthusiasm for Ruin Zine) on as apart of my final demo for KCSB radio. I had the whole band on air with me in June 2022 so I caught up with Nick about what's been up. Saviour Complex is a band from Moorpark, CA who just released a LP "Chance Your Arm" on Extinction Burst records. Squint is a band out of St Louis, MO that formed in late 2021 and have put out two EPs, toured and had a very busy 2023. The Runts are punk band from Northeast Los Angeles that have been around since the early 2000's and reformed a few years ago. Since their return they have played tons of shows including Sound and Fury 23 and a rooftop, put out some new music and are currently playing a string of final shows before playing last official shows at the Lodge Room in February 2024.
