Most Calgary teams are on the road this long weekend. We recap this weekend's action. Cavalry FC managed a 1-0 victory over Vancouver FC at Spruce Meadows on Saturday. Combined with a Forge loss, the Cavs now sit top of the table in the CPL. This is the first time this season they have done so where there have been no games in hand involved.We also have a brief discussion about Tobias Warschewski's brilliant season and if it's enough to attract any interest from MLS clubs.The Calgary Wild's unbeaten streak is now at five matches as they drew the Vancouver Rise 2-2 on Saturday at Swangard Stadium. Sarah Kelty-Dilling made her Wild debut between the sticks after waiting for her chance for a year and a half.There were no USports matches to recap from the weekend but there were a few ACAC doubleheaders. We discussed SAIT's victories over Red Deer and the Ambrose Lions matches vs Lethbridge and Olds College.The PDP Championships wrapped up in Montreal this weekend. We talk about two massive stories from the Calgary soccer scene this week. Calgary Wild head coach Lydia Bedford resigned from the club to take the head coaching job of England's women's U23 team. We discuss this shocking turn of events and what the Wild executive might do to handle this situation. Cavalry FC had a more positive story this week in that Ali Musse re-signed with the club. Musse is one of the greatest players in Cavalry history, but his return seemed doubtful at the end of last season as his contract ended. The Calgary Wild made a big splash this week by signing Calgarian Mya Jones to a contract. Jones is considered one of the best women's soccer players the city has ever produced.
