040 | Jessamyn Stanley: Love Thy Ass + Wellness Gone Mad
The first time I heard Jessamyn Stanley speak in 2019, I immediately felt like I could trust this woman to hold it dowwwwwwn when it came to representing some of my most important beliefs, no matter who was or wasn't in the room. She’s an award-winning yoga instructor and intersectional activist with a heavy PASSION for diversity + inclusion in the self-care space. There’s so much laughter and memorable dialogue in this episode about why yoga in the west was initially more embraced by white folks, why in her words "self-hatred is such a boring distraction," advice for those uncomfortable with the word 'fat' and hella more. I hope you enjoy this convo as much as I did. Per usual, I’m very thankful for your support! If you loved this episode please consider leaving a rating, review and sharing with your people! 039 | Jessica Dore: Mystical Girl, Material World
Celebrated tarot practitioner, Jessica Dore is a woman who reminds me on the daily that the internet can be a soulful place. In her words she’s “interested in using tarot cards to help people understand the interplay between internal and external life and to behave flexibly and in alignment with what is most precious.” In my words: she’s a psychology / mysticism appreciator’s wet dream. We talk about why tarot has had such a profound comeback during modern day times, her very unique morning routine, what the energy of lust, anger and grief have taught her and so much more. Jess has delighted my heart and stretched my brain and you need some of that. Enjoy. If you love what you hear, please consider rating and sharing this podcast if you haven’t already. I can be found everywhere on social @itstracyg and send Jess some love! She’s @thejessicadore everywhere as well. Per usual, I’m very thankful for your support! Hosted on Acast. 038 | Thrills And Potions: His + Hers Relationship Q&A
For this episode, I’m in convo with the human I’ve been merrily monogamous with for 4 years to date, Carl Joseph-Black. If you follow me on Instagram, you know Carl's been invaluable to my personal development. Since much of this community has been curious about some more details on our union, we’re going to answer questions from yall taken directly from IG Stories. As with prior episodes of this season, we recorded this one pre-covid19 so unfortunately we won’t have the stories and lessons and the bigass fight that happened during our time locked down in our Brooklyn apartment to share with yall lolol. But trust, if you’re currently in a relationship or manifesting a relationship or just nosy about why the fuck I love this dude… keep listening.Per usual, if you enjoy this episode, please leave a rating + review, tell me on social media (@itstracyg) and share with a friend. This podcast is independently produced and every drop of naturally positive feedback from you makes a big impact. Also, if you wanna follow Carl he's @cjoeblack everywhere! xx TG Hosted on Acast. 037 | The Spectrum Of Love + Lust: A Personal History
The longest sexual orientation I've ever identified with is bisexual, but in recent years it just hasn't felt as accurate a description as it once did which made me extra curious about myself and wanting to walk down my memory lane of sexuality. So we're talking about a lot, including the question of... is it more liberating to have a threesome or to fantasize about having a threesome lolol. 036 | Leaving Her: A Short Story About My Abusive Relationship
My ex-girlfriend is nowhere to be found on the internet. She’s not Googable. She hated Facebook even before our parents joined. But I can easily scroll through our early 20-something faces, our passion, our disaster, all in my head. This episode of #ShesBeautyAndTheBeast is a pivot from the general vibe I’ve rolled out thus far. My mom is absolutely not going to enjoy the fact that I’m sharing this one with yall (or next week’s episode for that matter) and I get that. As a Scorpio, I especially appreciate the intention of protection. However, I remember feeling so tragically alone during me and my ex’s darkest hours and the mere existence of that illusion is reason enough for me to share a bit of some shit. 031 | Crystal Craze: Exploring Practical Magic With God's Rolling Stones
While delving into our spiritual and self-care journeys, it’s impossible not to become seduced by the beauty and the claimed healing properties of crystals. 013 | The Rob Hill Sr. Effect
So for episode 13 I'm talking to one of the most popular wordsmiths and spirit menders on the world wide web (and in real life), my pal Rob Hill Sr. He's written several books on love, healing and purpose, has done a flurry of hella effective speaking engagements and the comments section under his Instagram quotables are usually crammed with exclamation points and all-caps reactions in full agreement of what he's posted. Many people look at him as a motivation-pumping machine, but, really he's just human. A human dedicated to living within his light and not his wounds. So if you want to learn how to:- navigate murky waters in life- activate your passion- and as Rob says "edit as you grow," well then here's a suggestion...Holler at your journal, maybe a grab a glass of wine, throw a podcast party and fuck with me, cause this is a beautiful one. 011 | Why I'm Not About That Fear-Is-The-Enemy Life
I used to be the type to wave that Fuck Fear flag HIGH. Stay over there, Fear! We ain't cool, Fear! We at war, Fear! But through my meet ups with several descendants of everyone's favorite emotion--anxiety, procrastination, self-doubt etc.--I've come to the conclusion that my perception of fear is what worsened the reality of it. In this episode I speak with my wonderful friend Melissa Kimble (twitter.com/melissa_kimble), founder of #BlkCreatives (www.blkcreatives.com) about the benefits of creating a healthier relationship with Fear... even if it just graduates from enemy to frenemy lol.
