Vores muskler er nogle fantastiske kemiske motorer, som kan omsætte vores mad (brændstof) til mekanisk energi. De er lavet af muskelfibre, som har en stor nok diversitet i deres egenskaber til at de kan hjælpe os med at tråde en nål, dødløfte flere hundrede kg, holde vores kroppe oprejste og løbe indtil flere hundrede kilomenter.
