052 – Architecture of Sound

 Architecture of Sound from the American Sabor exhibition at San Francisco Public Library is a panel discussion that explores the relationship between architecture, acoustics and the live performance experience and how it has influenced musical venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Panelists include architect Mark Cavagnero, whose projects include the new SFJAZZ Center; Kurt Graffy, Associate Principal at ARUP’s acoustics lab; five-time Grammy nominated musician and producer; Wayne Wallace; and moderator, John King of the San Francisco Chronicle.  A brief audience Q & A follows the panel discussion.  This program is presented in partnership with AIA San Francisco. Lisa Vestal, Chief Curator, Office of Exhibitions and Programming at the San Francisco Public Library provides the introductions, Q&A, and closing remarks, and got us the permission to use this broadcast on Music Life Radio!
