Freedom is a value many hold dear. But it comes with a price... discomfort, choice, and responsibility to name a few. And sometimes, this value can clash with other values such as equity and security. It depends on how you define it and your other values. Why is this important? Because most of our societal disagreements are values-based (many of them relate to how freedom and other values fit - or don't fit - together). Want society to be better, the world to be better? Seek to understand other people's values, how they define them and how they integrate with yours.
