22. Defining Success: A conversation with Lou Portass

from The Sounds of the Rising · host Rochelle Hubbard

Lou came into my life at a time I desperately needed her. I was so full-on in my business, and had been for years, that I had not been able to come up for air, and I so longed for someone who could support me to fulfil the future dreams I had for my work. I was so busy running on the treadmill of the day to day needs of my business, I had not been able to create the structure and systems I knew I needed, and I therefore was certainly not in the place where I could take on anything new. Lou came to me as an assistant, something she no longer does for anyone else I believe, but has become an indispensable ‘partner’ for me in my business, without whom I would not have achieved what I have over the last year; oftentimes she has taken on the role of a coach during one of our calls, when I am feeling frantic - in short I am very grateful to have her in my life. It is no surprise to me therefore that Lou is now solely an Anti-Burnout mentor. Lou is a Radical Self Love Advocate, which feeds into all that she does, empowering weary female entrepreneurs to show up authentically as, and unapologetically for, themselves IN their businesses so that they can reconnect with their purpose and truly love what they do. You can find more about Lou here, by listening to her podcast, checking her out on Instagram or on her website: BE:ing in Business the Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/be-ing-in-business/id1556874044 Instagram: www.instagram.com/iamlouportass https://www.louportass.com Find me (Rochelle) here: www.rochellehubbard.com www.instagram.com/rochelle.a.hubbard or join me on Telegram here I also send a weekly love note - Heart to Heart - which is a very short message sharing what I have personally enjoyed listening to/learning that week, as well as some brief musings, and then once a month - The Soul Review - in which I share a blog post with the deeper thoughts I have had for that month, plant based recipes, the physical + energetic properties of essential oils, my latest offerings, as well as guest posts on house plants, astrology + crystals. I put a lot of love into these, so they feel nourishing to receive into your inbox. You can sign up to receive these from me here.
