Women who are rising to the call to step into their truth, to remember, and know deeply inside of them their worth, and to claim the sovereignty, the freedom, and the resulting abundance that they are worthy of.     I was once asked, "What’s the one thing that, if someone were talking about it, everyone in the room would think of you?" My immediate answer was controversy. But as I reflected, I realised it’s not about seeking controversy for its own sake—it’s about my unwavering commitment to truth. I’m open-minded, curious, and receptive to diverse perspectives, gathering information with a fair and thoughtful approach. Yet, once I’ve found my truth, I stand by it with conviction. I hold firm in my beliefs, not out of stubbornness, but because they are rooted in deep understanding and intentional work.     36. Completion in Relationships

    This podcast came out of a newsletter I was writing in January, that was getting so long that I thought it was going to turn into a book! So I stopped and recorded a private mini podcast instead. I uploaded it to SoundCloud and left it like that. But the response I got was so strong that I felt to release it here too. Here was how the newsletter began: 'At the beginning of December Josh and I were out for a meal together. It came after a couple of weeks of us not getting on well at all. We sat across from one another at the table and I said to him how unhappy I was. He said he felt the same. It was very calm and rational. And then we asked each other if we even really wanted to stay together. It was in asking the question out loud that we both knew it was not what we wanted, but it was so sad to have asked the question at all. People often remark on how happy Josh and I seem. We are very much in love and committed to one another, so a lot of what is perceived from the outside is based on our reality. Our relationship however has always been one of constant growth. We hadn't known one another long when I became pregnant with Caleb; Josh by no means felt ready, and in fact he wouldn't mind me saying that he had always felt pretty sure that he didn't ever want to be a father.     35. Evolution: A conversation with Krissi Peterson

    In this episode of The Sounds of the Rising, I sit in conversation with Krissi Peterson.  In the lead up to the launch of Surrender to Intimacy, I asked Krissi if she would sit with me in an open discussion about the work we have both been doing on Surrender in our marriages. Krissi joined a membership container I released last year, The Mothership, in which we did some gentle work into the process of Surrender. From group calls, and 1:1 conversations I have had with Krissi, I knew that her experience has been profound in many ways, and so I was so thrilled she was happy to come on and share with you all in this space.     34. The moments in-between

    The moments in-between ✨ True intimacy is built in the moments in-between. I noticed a few years ago that when I have sex I fall very naturally into my feminine essence. On reflection I realised that Josh equally very naturally falls into his masculine. I really want to be led, and he very naturally wants to lead. And yet previously, when we would enter back into our every day lives, the roles would quickly reverse. Josh would often say to me: “How can we go from that, to this? How can you change so quickly?”. The answer I realised was that I wasn’t doing the work of surrender, and building true emotional intimacy in-between. Intimacy is built in every moment of our shared lives together with our partner, not just in the bedroom. In fact without true connection in the ‘in-between’ moments, the times of physical intimacy, whilst they might seem ‘more natural’ (as they did to me), are actually just a form of escape. Escape from the exhaustion most women feel, and escape from being controlled all the time, in the case of most men. Therefore we are not in a state of true connection, where we are able to share our wants and desires from an open heart, and in turn experience unlimited connection and pleasure. And when we can do this, when we can come together physically in this way, we create strong roots for us to move forward again in day to day life with the desire to come closer together emotionally, and in our life vision. The two worlds of physical intimacy, and day to day emotional intimacy, feed one another. ‘The moments in-between’ are in fact every moment when you are working on true intimacy with your partner - physically, emotionally, spiritually - together.     33. Surrender: A conversation with Josh Hubbard

    For the first time in the Sounds of the Rising podcast, I sit in conversation with a man: my husband, Josh. I asked Josh if he would come onto the podcast, as I couldn't think of anyone better to discuss the subject of Surrender in intimate relationships with, than the person I have been doing the work with myself. It is a complex topic, with many facets, all of which I have been working on alone, with other women, or directly with Josh. Whichever way I have been doing the work though, the outcomes have all had an impact on my relationship with Josh, and have brought us to the place where we are today.     30. Do what you love: A conversation with Elin Hemnes

    It is a total joy for me that Elin is someone I have in my life + can call a friend. Originally from Norway, she now (currently at least) lives in Denmark, with her husband Per, and their beautiful one year old daughter. At only 30 years old, Elin has created the life for herself that her soul was destined to live. So many of us have to wait until we are much older to know, and then listen to, the callings of our soul's purpose. For many they sadly never know it, or perhaps even worse, even if they do know it, they often don't have enough belief in themselves to listen and to follow it. Elin is the exception. She knew what wasn't right for her very early on, and she therefore found a different path for herself that lit her up. A path that has led her to financial freedom at such a young age, and with the space to be able to follow her passions to an even deeper level, supporting so many women as she goes.     28. Wild Roots Foraging: A conversation with Lucy Cuzzocrea

    Lucy’s story is so interesting to me. For a long time I have been interested in foraging, for coming up to 20 years now, but I have not until recently actually thrown myself into truly learning how to find food in the wild.     22. Defining Success: A conversation with Lou Portass

    Lou came into my life at a time I desperately needed her. I was so full-on in my business, and had been for years, that I had not been able to come up for air, and I so longed for someone who could support me to fulfil the future dreams I had for my work. I was so busy running on the treadmill of the day to day needs of my business, I had not been able to create the structure and systems I knew I needed, and I therefore was certainly not in the place where I could take on anything new.     16. Taking back control: The time is now

    I had another episode planned for this week: a conversation with a dear friend of mine in America.     9. Intuitive Birth: A conversation with Sophia Crawford

    When I first came across Sophia on Instagram (there is a story behind that, which I share in the intro) I was immediately in love with the service she brings to this world, to women. Collectively we are rising to bring back the wisdom of the generations who passed before us. The wisdom that the Patriarchal system stole from us, and as such has caused us to be so lost, and has caused humanity to be so out of balance. There are very few places that this remembering is more important than in the birth space: where a woman enters that rite of passage from Maiden to Mother, and for her baby, at the point this new soul enters this world. These moments, one of the most crucial in both the mother’s and the baby’s life, are where the remembering can be the most profound + transformative, not just for them but, through their experience, for the whole of humanity, and Sophia’s role is being part of that remembering being reclaimed. Enjoy these words, wherever you are in life, play them to your daughters, and pass them on to other women. The more we share this wisdom, the more women who experience birth as it is meant to be, the more healing happens for those mothers, those babies, for their babies, and their babies beyond, but also for the generations that have passed. Women who are rising to the call to step into their truth, to remember, and know deeply inside of them their worth, and to claim the sovereignty, the freedom, and the resulting abundance that they are worthy of. Women are recognising, right now, in these times, the need to rewrite their stories and reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Here, in this space, we come together as we rise.
