25. Kindness + Community: A conversation with Joanna Helcke

from The Sounds of the Rising · host Rochelle Hubbard

I first met Jo 12 years ago, as a new mother, living in a new place, with lots of new ideas coming to me as to how I wanted to live my life. Meeting Jo actually formed a critical role in how I moved out into the world in this newly evolving version of myself. She was, and continues to be, very inspirational to me, and always a great support of my vision. Leaving Leicestershire was hard for me, with the friendships I grew there, and Jo is certainly someone I miss being able to see regularly. It was a pleasure to speak to have this conversation with her, and a joy to be able to share her with you in this space. She is truly passionate about her work with women, and with food, with her desire for excellence of service in her work, creating community, leading with kindness, and showing up with love, being the benchmarks of success for her. If you know Jo, you know her definition of success has more than been met over the years, and I feel sure will be for years to come. Enjoy this conversation, and welcome to The Sounds of the Rising in 2022.
