Our finale of the Rotten Horrors series was originally intended to focus on a pair "threequels" in two of the most beloved horror franchises of all time: "The Exorcist" and "Halloween." Due to some technical difficulties, we had to redo the episode, this time focusing on just the third installment of John Carpenter's prolific series, "Halloween: Season of the Witch." Sitting down with first time guest, filmmaker Shawn Chiesa, we discuss the iconic score by Carpenter himself and the "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" inspiration on the film, as well as the rise of consumerism in the age of Reagan and the shockingly scummy protagonist played by Tom Atkins. "Halloween: Season of the Witch" is available to rent on iTunes.
