3 Tips to Improve Your Deadlift | Episode 101

from Low Back Pain Podcast · host Dr. Grant Elliott

Deadlifts are an all-time favorite of mine, and they are also a problem for many people with back pain! Many people have suffered disc herniations from deadlifting feeling that classic "POP" sensation, or have hurt their back other ways and find that deadlifting flares them up. Many people are also told by their healthcare provider to never deadlift again or that deadlifts are bad for your back and that is just total nonsense! Deadlifting is a very functional movement and we should be strong with it! In this episode I discuss how to properly deadlift so you can improve your technique and stability while doing them to get the most out of it. Also, the harsh reality is that if you don't address the root of the issue your deadlifts won't magically become pain-free, you must address the root of the problem and then get back into deadlifts once your body can handle that load! If you are struggling with low back pain, disc herniation, or sciatica and would like my help then please submit an application on my website or use the link below so we can meet 1-on-1 and go through my program together!
