Gaspar Noe's camerawork, lighting, and creative storytelling are on full display in this movie as he reveals the horror of one night's events in reverse, creating more shock as the movie continues. Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel star and have memorable performances where love, regret, pain, hopelessness, and vengeance all converge and are on full display. This movie is often remembered for one very disturbing scene in the middle of the film, but the impact is felt both in the beginning and the end.
