303. Negotiating: What Matters to Them?

from The Choice, Change & Action Podcast · host Simone Milasas

Do you choose what works for others, or do you know you have the power to negotiate and choose what works for you? In this episode of Choice, Change and Action, Simone Milasas talks with Shon van Orden about the art of negotiation and some simple tools you can use. Most people look at negotiating as trying to get a result. What if it was simply the willingness for people to perceive what people have made matter, including the time structures they function from, and using that as leverage to create a different possibility? If you do your research and you know what matters, what else is possible? Questions And Tools: Be clear on what you require and desire Do your research to get a sense of what could be on offer in the area you're negotiating Ask questions - what matters to them?Use the information you have as leverage e.g. what time of the year is best to negotiate, what can you offer them to get what you require, etc. Have more than one option so you can walk away from a deal that doesn't work for you As Mentioned In This Episode: The Art of Negotiation class with Shon van Orden: https://www.accessconsciousness.com/en/class-catalog/access-special-classes/advanced-facilitator/art-of-negotiation_639080702187979336/details  Useful Links: The Clearing Statement explained Access Consciousness Website Choice, Change & Action Podcast Instagram Follow Simone Milasas Simone's Website Simone's Instagram Simone's Facebook Simone's YouTube Simone's Telegram Simone's Contact Email  Follow Shon van Orden Shon's website Shon's Instagram Shon's Facebook Play with Simone Milasas The Profit Club membership Getting Out of Debt Joyfully Taking Action online video course All Upcoming Classes with Simone Past Class Recordings
