31: Marriage Q&A Part 1 With Brian & Heather - Roles, Sex & Affection, Family/Friends, Quality Time, and Conflict Resolution

from Love How Deep Marriage Podcast · host Brian Mayer & Heather Mayer

Welcome back to another episode of the Love How Deep podcast.  We hope as you continue to listen that your marriage is strengthened and that you continue to use God's Word as the foundation for your marriage.  Marriage Q&A Part 1 - Today we are going to be having a bit of fun.  We are going to be asking each various common marriage questions using a deck of couple's communication cards.  We have not prepared our answers in advance, but rather are choosing to see what comes up.  This is a lot like marriage itself, questions sometimes come up and you want to organically and genuinely discuss what is in your heart and mind in the moment.  So with that let's get started.  Here are a list of the questions:  Roles & Responsibility - Are you concerned that you are doing more than your share of the household tasks? Sex & Affection - Are you comfortable discussing sexual issues with your partner?  If not, can you share why? Family and Friends - Do you have concerns about your partner/spouse spending time with certain friends or coworkers? Quality Time - Do you feel the workload of planning quality time is shared relatively equally?  Why or why not? Conflict Resolution - When are you most likely to have a serious argument over an unimportant issue? Conclusion We hope this episode has given you some inspiration to open up the lines of communication, and adding some fun into the mix.  Before we go, here are a couple of helpful items that will be listed on our show notes.  Couples Communication Cards Selection on Amazon:  Go to Amazon to discover all sorts of Couples Communication Cards.  The card deck we used on the show are only available to certified facilitators of the Prepare Enrich Marriage Program, but again there are lots of card decks available at Amazon that are just as good and maybe even better.  FREE 10 Practical Communication Strategies This guide will help you as a couple have more effective and connecting conversations.   Closing Thanks for tuning in! We appreciate your time. Stay tuned for our next episode.
