Oskar, a young, bullied boy, forms a friendship with his new neighbor Eli, a young girl, who holds the secret of needing to consume blood.Let the Right One In is a Swedish vampire, coming-of-age film based off the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist of the same name. This movie explores the challenges of navigating bullying, growing up, and finding friendship among the oddest of circumstances. While the movie deeply explores different character emotions, it has a bleak tone and cold atmosphere that really set the backdrop for what is a unique and challenging time in the lives of main characters, Oskar and Eli. The film has several absolutely jaw-dropping scenes and crazy twists, but at its core, it's a wholesome film of acceptance.
