In a landmark resolution, the 37th Ordinary Southern African Development Committee Summit has admitted the Union of Comoros into the SADC fold, bringing the membership of the regional bloc to 16. Comoros and Burundi - have for the past years expressed interest in joining SADC in hopes to expand the membership of the regional organization. As Channel Africa's Nhlanhla Mahlangu reports the heads of state and government have reiterated their collective resolve to promote peace and stability in the region..
