#401 John Clay Wolfe Show 05.06.23

from The John Clay Wolfe Show · host John Clay Wolfe

You know when you wake up unexpectedly in an unfamiliar place, and you're bewildered about the situation? How did I get here? Who's gonna make breakfast? And hey--where's my wallet?! Well, the Wolfe Pack had THAT kind of a start for this week's show... Being between studios, with our old location dismantled and broadcasting from a new location, thanks to our friends at the Dallas iHeart hub, we were all nervous as cats to put out the kind of show we know our fans expect--even in desperate times! And man, if we say so ourselves, we sure as hell delivered! This week's program has it all--a heapin' helping of current events and pop culture, stories from our own jangled, lucky lives, our inimitable assessment of what's good, bad, ugly and/or 'Wicked Cool' in the world, and a TON of laughs...catch up with our old friends the Tiger King Joe Exotic, Keith Richards, an unqualified Kentucky Derby horse named Stimey Biggerschlong, and a lot more! PLUS, Johnny C. is buying cars like candy bars, JD has got Florida stories aplenty, Gigi fleshes out her steamy romance story about that long lost penitentiary inmate boyfriend, we unveil this year's winners (and losers) in voting for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and more! And hey, whattayaknow: DJ PreKay hid our wallet for safekeeping before we even hit the pillow, so all is well. Come to find out, we kinda like our temporary new digs! Thanks for helping us move in. Now let's crack open a Natty Light and fire up the barby, yeah? We're glad to have you hangin' with us. Cheers.
