#406 WHY is Vegas having to pay out over $600 million to a developer?
from Kipper test
The City of Las Vegas is on the hook for screwing a developer out of his right to build on his land. Former City Councilman and CPA Bob Beers, the smartest guy to ever serve on the City Council in my opinion, warned the city ten years ago that they had no right to stop Yohan Lowie from developing his land the way he wanted to. Now the City of Las Vegas has to pony up HUGE amounts, after numerous courts found them in error, and after they kicked the can down the road for ten years, socint tapers far more than they should have had to spend. What will the impact be for those of us living in the City or visiting the city? Bob Beers joined me to discuss this very avoidable mess. They wasted YOUR money trying to appease a few homeowners and get elected or re-elected. My podcast is now on Spotify! Just search “Heidi Harris Show” and check it out!
