If someone asked you what you do daily to take care of yourself what would you answer? Maybe you’re doing a lot of good - you’re working out, you’re studying trends in your industry, you’re eating well, scheduling date nights. All these things can positively impact your mood, thoughts, and mental health. But what action are you taking for your mental and emotional health directly, and not just a side effect or nice extra? According to Michael Gervais there’s mastery of craft and mastery of self, and one without the other means you’ll never hit your full potential. Added to this, we cannot use external fixes for internal issues. All the good you do won’t impact your state of mind if you’re putting up barriers to them, not acknowledging what’s going well, or dismissing the positive to focus purely on your problems. Investing even a small proportion of your day towards building mental health, like over your morning cup or coffee or brushing your teeth in the evenings, can really permeate the rest of your life. You owe it to yourself to start investing in your mind directly. www.thementalhealthplan.com Want to talk about how to build your mental health? - https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=18248924&appointmentType=11286512
