O episódio destaca o simbolismo contido no mito grego, cujo fogo roubado por Prometeu pode ser comparado à capacidade mental do ser humano. De forma semelhante, Helena Blavasky, na obra "A voz do silêncio", destaca os desafios que o ser humano tem ao lidar com essa ferramenta poderosa - o poder mental -, cuja aplicação ocorre de maneira subaproveitada.  Compreender o potencial mental e aprender a desenvolvê-lo é função primordial, a fim de realizar e solucionar problemas de natureza material, moral e espiritual.  Aborda-se, ainda, a mente em seu aspecto superior e inferior, cujo esforço em controlar os desejos meramente instintivos, em evitar ideias circulares e em autorregular sentimentos pouco virtuosos, nos conduza a aprender a desenvolver uma consciência humana, com propósito e intencionalidade.  A mente, portanto, deve ser uma ferramenta que nos aproxime do nosso autoconhecimento, colaborando com nosso desenvolvimento interior e espiritual.
