Animal Video Surprises Scientists Sir David's echidnas lived when dinosaurs lived. That was two hundred million years ago! These animals were living sixty years ago. After that, scientists didn't see any alive. They thought these echidnas were extinct… 艾登堡針鼴鼠從2億年前恐龍還沒滅絕的時候就存在。牠們消失了 60年。科學家以為牠們絕種了。 But last month, scientists found a Sir David's echidna! It was on a mountain in Indonesia. They weren't looking for it. They put video cameras outside. The cameras took videos of animals. The scientists looked at the videos later. Then they saw the echidna! They were very surprised! 但是在上個月,科學家在印尼山上拍到艾登堡針鼴鼠。他們非常驚訝! Sir David's echidnas are cool. Their nose is twenty centimeters long! No animals want to touch a spiky ball! 這些針鼴鼠身上也有尖銳的刺。如果牠們受到驚嚇,身體會縮成一顆球,防止其他的動物靠近。 These cool Sir David's echidnas aren't extinct. They're living!
