Boys (Jongen)

Welcome to today's episode of Queerly Popular! Today, we will be talking about the 2014 TV movie Boys (Jongen in Dutch). The movie was first broadcast on Dutch TV and does have English subtitles. This is a short episode. That's because the movie is fun and enjoyable, but it is a story that has been told quite often, and this version doesn't bring a whole lot new to the table. That said, it is not a bad film, just one that can be enjoyed and then is rather quickly forgotten. The movie itself is also short (77 minutes), so there's not a ton to say about the movie itself. After the movie, I talk a little about the two review episodes of Heartstopper that have been on this podcast and my written reviews which can be read here. I do this because our next episode, on the 24th, will be about Heartstopper season 3 and I fully expect it to be at least 90 minutes. It might very well be 105-120 minutes. I'm obviously not sure yet (it won't be recorded until the 21st or 22nd), but based on the numbers, that is my suspicion. Listen for more about that.
