You've heard that growth happens outside of your comfort zone. There is nothing wrong with being in your comfort zone...unless you have goals and aspirations. Part of our growth strategy is if you're standing still, then you're moving backward. If you do the same activities you did last year, then you haven't adjusted to how the market has changed. The market is not a static thing. It is dynamic and you have to be as well. Get comfortable being uncomfortable and don't let others around you dictate your goals and behavior. Set your own standards for success and don't hold back. Your goals have nothing to do with someone else's goals and standards. Not everyone will be happy when you succeed, especially if they haven't been able to get out of their comfort zone and achieve their own success. At the same time, you can't always be outside of your comfort zone. It's important sometimes to take a moment and reflect or catch your breath. Appreciate how far you've come and take time to smell the roses. This is critical or you'll get burnt out. In general, you'll be on an upward trajectory but there will be dips and downward moments. If you haven't taken the time to appreciate your journey, those dips will feel like much larger setbacks than they actually are. Keep your perspective.
