It use DayTrippers, Monster Hunt, a dash of COREthulhu and WWA if we ever get that far (sorry Kurt). Essentially, in the near future, teams of hunters are sent out to different worlds using slip space technology to hunt alien species. Once the aliens are are captured they are used to fight Pokemon style in an arena for the enjoyment of television watchers around the world. The Hunts are broadcast live and most hunters have sponsors.
